How about you put some more money into the X. Can't think of any car worth dumping money into other than evo/sti

i was going to eric, but im not so sure now, i was going to do either a bbx with some E85 with supporting fuel mods, or small T3 turbo kit with E85 on low boost, but i cant afford to blow a rod threw the bottom of the block.. and it would just sit there in the garage... and its my dd, so idk what to do..

Buy my neon as a daily driver and build the evo lol. I've seen plenty 500whp X's on here and youtube on stock internals. I have no clue how long they last, but thats my plan as soon as my bmw gets sold.

I've been trying to sell the bmw for a while now at stupid low prices and haven't had any hits. I've decided if it's not sold by the time the next WW or GG IX comes on the market within 500 miles it's gonna get traded and i'll have to bite the bullet. With the wealth of knowledge on here and local gurus, hopefully I can have one fun power plant for a relitavely modest budget.

How many miles do you have on your X? Are you gonna get it up to an autocross some time at BeaveRun?

I did some research and decided the RS won't work for me. I can't give up power windows, moon roof and espically a stereo. I'm ideally looking for a MR SE. I understand the 6 speed is the weak link and my goals are 500wheel but I'm hoping for shep to do something to the 6 speed by the time all this happens.
I also won't be able to buy from a private owner unless my bmw sold but thanks for the lead.

The SE comes with the 5 speed, the MR has the 6 speed.

I thought the MR SE was the standard MR with red stitching and other visual bit. Or the MR SE's ive seen on autotrader have an SE badge on the back and red stitching with a 6 speed.

you are correct - then the std. evo SE was like a MR (HIDs, Aluminum Roof, BBS, etc) but without the 6 speed.

They came out a couple weeks after I got my IX - would have def liked to have had one but the situation I was in with my old 04 VIII I didn't have the choice to wait and moved on the new IX to get out from the lemon.

Wow I'm 20 turning 21 in sept. and State Farm's robbing me 1200 /6 months liability with comp. Have a few tickets here and there and 1 accident from when i was 17. Hope by my next renewal date my insurance should be lower. I also have the good student discount but for some reason State Farm doesn't count a motorcycle as another vehicle so no mult. vehicle discount for me.

On another note I'll be heading down to Richmond, Va Wednesday to pick up a bunch of parts from a totaled evo x if anyone's around the Greensburg area thats down for a road trip PM me. GF refuses to be involved in any automobile related activities

There are your problems. You're younger than the magic 25 age, probably don't have any credit to your name, driving a high performance vehicle, and you have tickets and an accident.

Not sure what you want State Farm to do. They aren't in the business of losing money. You might fare better by switching insurance companies.
