So, I was thinking sbout taking the evo from full coverage to liability only insurance. That is until I just recieved my latest renewal. Has anyone elses insurance droped recently? I have State farm and the evo is now the cheapest car on our insurance. I won't post how much, to save you young guys from a heart attack. Evo 8's are getting cheaper by the day.

Let's go pens!

Many factors involved!!!

How old are you ?

Married?
Multi cars?

And goofy as it sounds, they now are using credit scores !

I have been waiting forever for cheap insurance!!!

My insurance is pretty cheap, and I have 2 cars under my name. The Honda is cheaper than the Evo, but not by much. I think I almost pay 850 a year for full everything on two cars. I have only had one ticket and never in an accident.

The fact that the Honda is exempt from inspection every year because I drive it maybe 300 miles a year does help. I get the discount for multi car, good driver, had some student discounts in there as well as an ownership discount. They add up.

Not sure if they hold up at the track though....

Oh and EDIT: For those Pens fans out there, TSN in Canada is reporting that Jordan Staal tore a good few of the tendons (actually severed by the skate of the Subban kid) on the top of his foot and is out for the Playoffs. Terrible news, I hope it isn't true.

Hope that isn't the case. We need to have Staal.

Heh, the car is still running (hopefully) and is getting the finishing touches done on the tune, etc. It has to go back to Mike on Monday though. It needs a new passenger side wheel bearing, inspected and aligned.

thinking about doing a project car for next couple of years, I was thinking about 240sx with rb25 swap and maybe putting couple suspension mods on the evo and calling it done with that! Any suggestions on other project cars?? maybe supra or old eclipse or talon.

Josh I almost bought an s13 last month with a fresh sr20 on it, but the gf said no way. An rb swapped 240 would be stupid fast, but in reality the sr20 is a stout little motor, capable of 400+ on forged internals. it just has a poor flowing head.

Building a supra is going to cost you (or dad) two left nuts so be prepared to drop 30k.

I was thinking of building a Honda just for fun, but I gotta see where I'm at financially after the new Evo set up.

Just remember the old saying: cheap, reliable, fast... You can only pick two

And i don't want cheap that for sure... and no it wouldn't be my dads money i want to do it with my money and want to do everything that i can and learn to build a car from scratch, and then once its finished look back and be proud
