Local Pittsburgh meet part deux
yeah man that's me, im Brett. i bought Patrick's (goforwand) old daily 2008 GSR. It is wingless, it's kinda nice not attracting every bondo'd civic trying to race.
i live right off of siebert actually on the babcock blvd side, on the hill behind the shopping center with the starbucks.

I had the bonehead move of the year...I just got a set of Hankook C50's that I wanted to scrub so a ran a few laps to get them to temp and came back in to take them off and switch to the R1R street tires.
The Kook's are on CCW's that require a front spacer. The R1R's are on NT03+m's that I "thought" I test fitted about 3 months ago. Anyway I put the fronts on and check suspension clearance..all good but I was having trouble torqueing them down
. Now mind you I'm doing this all by hand because I left my the battery to the Ryobi in the charger
so I'm already pissed.Get in the car and the freaking car won't move! I thought I might have hit the emergency brake and siezed the rear rotors that were fresh off the track (not the case) so I call Dr. Mike in a panic and he gives me a few suggestions..I ask "what if that doesn't work" and in typical Mike fashion he says "you're forked!"
So I get the car up on jacks and realize I can't move the front wheels because the freakin NT03+m's are cutting into the freakin' calipers!! Damage wasn't too bad; put a 10mm spacer on and an hour and 15 min later was finally back on track....whew what a dumbass I am
Anyway, Eric locked his keys in his car so now I don't feel that bad (misery loves company)
Test and Tunes are awesome...there were only 8-10 cars there; what a great way to experiment with different lines, brake points, and techniques..
HIghly recommend as one of the best "bang for your buck" things to do!
