I was thinking the same thing. Sell the engine and use the money to finish the car. Keep it fwd to make it cheapand reliable ..

^ not skurd. I just hate driving things that I can flip easily. Station wagon/"crossover"/evo X is as big and clumsy as ill go.

Yeah. I'm expecting it to take me a whole weekend. The only part I'm worried about it maneuvering the trans once it comes off.

go to junkyard and pull a 4g64 from galant or eclipse for $200.

there's several huge junkyard near Allentown PA that would definitely have some. i'll meet you there and we can pull a couple out. i needs one also.

Put a jack under, so when you pull it off, it's supported by the shaft. You'll also be spending a ton of time on trying to release the TOB clip. It almost never comes off easily.

As Thai said, go pull a 4g64 core. You'll need a few simple things to make the Evo 8 head work, but it's nothing crazy thats not already mass produce.

^ don't even mess with trying to release the throw out bearing. just unbolt the pressure plate from the service hole under the tranny.
