He doesn't have gap insurance, because he had his trade in that was about $12,000. What's kinda sad is that this kind of think happens all the time in our region I don't think the cops even care.

You will not see that thing running around the streets anywhere, like others have said it is undoubtably a shell now sitting up on blocks somewhere. I hope that whoever buys the hot parts gets thrown in just as fast as the people who stole it. If people got in as much trouble for having the stuff that came out of the cars as those who took it in the first place then the need would dry up as it would be harder to get rid of the parts that were stolen. That sucks, I know that he must be despondant over the loss.

Many people on nasioc said theirs were recovered from East/West Orange from the street. However some unlucky ones found theirs in the chop shops in Newark/Elizabeth.

Re: STI Stolen

"It was stolen from West Orange, so they probably have in somewhere in Newark, East Orange, or Irvington. "

So...I'm curious as to how you can ascertain that they (the thieves) probably live in "Newark, East Orange, or Irvington..."
Or is that just some kind of code for sayingthat the thieves are probably black? Just wondering whether or not you are clairevoyant or...what?

Damn.. so that means that your friend is $12K in the hole even after insurance pays for the STi?

That hurts..

I dont think anyone is saying that the thieves are black and no one is saying that they are clairvoyant. However unfortunate, experience has shown that most stolen cars in our area ( north JERSEY) end up being found in orange, newark, or irvington. Whether the thieves simply prefer joyriding through that area, or maybe because they are from there, either way, thats where the cars are found. I have lived in elizabeth for 15 years of my life, and have lived in union for the last 7. In my lifetime, my family has had at least 8 cars stolen from our household, each time the car being found in either Newark (4 of 8) and irvington (3 of 8), and Elizabeth (1of 8). No one is pointing out an ethnicity, its just that these areas are hotbeds for car thieves. For whatever ****ty reason, there is a market in those areas for stolen vehicles and stolen parts. You cant even park in the area without seeing your rims on some *******s car the next week while you now ride around on pep boys hubcaps. My best friend's Integra LS was stolen right out of the Kean University parking lot for his rims and exhaust, for crying out loud, and found crashed in the area.
