Yellowfever, thanks my friend would love any help you can give him. I don't think I mentioned it but that is where he bought the car from.

First Picture after the recovery! The car is all locked up at the body shop so I couldn't see it very well hence the picture that doesn't show much. All I could really see was the missing dash console the broken tail light and the damage on the rear bumper (worse than it looks in the picture). My friend said there is body damage on the driver side rear, I couldn't tell to what extent. I saw a lot of brake dust on the wheels, they defiantly beat on it. Not Cool!

I guess there is a lot of damage. There may be some suspension damage. The body shop is a very reputable one out in Morris County and they tend to deal with high end cars.

Tekniq Auto has a solution. They have a removable steering wheel assembly. When you leave your car you pop off the steering wheel and no one can drive your car anywhere. .
I bought a car with one of those. It was a Grant removeable steering wheel with lock. Totally lame. A Sparco detatchable race wheel wouldn't be too bad.

I worry about my Evo because of stories like this. Oh well, shoot em in the leg first, ask questions later.... then shoot em in the other leg.

My condolences. Thank goodness I live in the Cherry Hill/Marlton area with all the wealthy people with Bimmers, Vettes, Porsches, and occasional Viper and Lambo. Unless you get someone from Camden or Philly just waiting for a victim. I think if you ever find who stole it, your friend should take his new STi and say "You want an STi?" and just run him over back and forth. I know I am an Evo owner and am sometimes at odds with STi owners, I still respect the cars and people who drive them. And when someone gets his/her car stolen, I have sympathy for them. I don't care if you own an Sti, Cobra, S2000, RX8. We may be competitors on the track, but when it comes to personal matters we are all enthusiasts.
