True that! Only thing is if I saw someone trying to steal my car I wouldn't run them over because then they can take you to court for damages and you would also be tried criminally for attempted murder. Kinda sad but your best bet is to just let them take it. Because of the way our legal system is set up if you tried to intervene you would be considered the criminal.

A friend of mine woke up one night with some guys breaking into his kitted out Supra, which he invested a TON of cash into, it was parked outside since he was doing some work on his room mates Integra and needed it covered for the night, so the Supra was outside which was a rarity on the drive way. Woke up at 2am after he heard them break the glass and trying to rip the CF panels off of it, walked outside with a handgun and shot em since there was about 6 of em with cinder blocks ready and everything. He left out the Sunday paper, so I guess the thieves thought no one would be home. Just leg shots though, and since they had weapons as well and were on his property, this isn't against the law in Texas

Update...
My friend still has his STI. He was driving down RT. 80 on his way to work the other day and the engine went. Kind of a good thing, I am sure it was due to the abuse by the people who stole it, but at least it went before his warranty was up. So Subaru fixed it no charge. He said that it run much stronger not that the engine has been rebuilt. He has also added some additional theft deterrent devices.

Just a side note: the pieces of garbage that did this did it because they are exactly that, we don't need some wimpy liberals telling us that is it some how our faults that these people act the way they do. Some people are just bad and there is no reasoning with them that is just who or what they are, much like the terrorists. Please do us all a favor and re-elect President George W. Bush.

Another attempt on the same STI!!!! He is just going to sell the car soon and get a truck. This weekend my friend was at work and two black males, probably in there late 20s tried to steal his car. Like I said in my last post he now has some additional security. He purchased an electric club type of device that will zap the **** out of someone who tires to steal the car. One of his employees came running in from a smoke brake and told my friend that something was about to go down with his car. There was a blue wrx that had pulled in right next to his car behind his building. So my friend and about 4 of his employees ran outside while another called the cops. They found one guy in the car (I guess he was going to go for the head unit, I don't know if he got zapped or not) and the other guy bent down by the front grill (probably going for the xenon headlights). They jumped back into there WRX when my friend came running. He ran up to their door as they were trying to pull out and they stalled. He pulled the door open and thy driver was trying to stab him with his screwdriver. Hey took off, but my friend got there license plate. When the cops arrived they ran the plate and what a f'ing shocker the car they were driving was stolen. They messed up his hood and destroyed his front grill, they were able to get in by just pulling back the driver's window (the window has no door frame around it).
