I don't suppose you have a photo of the door panel with all the possible screws/bolts locations marked out for others who may want to take on this kind of sound damping challenge (in the near future)...
I had more Crown on Sunday then I expected to have so I only did the other door and the hood but I will take pictures of all screw holes when I pop the back doors off this weekend. Here is the hood.
Slight improvement on road noise but really I don't expect to see a real improvement on road noise reduction until I tackle the floors with xtreme and second skin luxury liner pro.

the license plate frame is the one for the evoX front bumper you can do a search on ebay for lancer side mount plate n they come up, they have stock photos of them on n off thred car. There a little price but i wanted a more stock look than the after market side mounts.

Finally another weekend has arrived so I will be putting down the Dynamat today and picking up a wrench to install my new toys since I now have the hoodliner installed. On my way to Lowes to pick up a barb fitting to go ahead and perform the bypass as well so I'll post back results when this standard mod is complete.

Unfortunately I had to back out the TB upgrade because my car rejected the new TB. It ran rough and idle spiked between 1k and 1.5k rpm and would never auto correct. I pumped the brakes with the battery disconnected multiple times and let it run for 15 minutes but it wouldn't take so I put the original back on and it purrs like a kitten. Perhaps I bought the wrong one (first attempt at mods)?
2009 Gallant TBA and I used the original sensors so I am assuming it came from the v6 model

eBay FTW!

The stock EVO X throttle body is a direct swap, although the intake manifold has an EGR tube blocking about 25% of the entrance so I plan to shorten that tube a bit before saying the TB helped or not. I also still need to install my 2.75" intake and cold air box for the filter which I think will make the difference once i dial it in on the dyno.

The intall was a simple 10 minute process with no additional effort but I couldn't get my idle to stabilize so I had to back it out and if I can resell it on eBay then I'll look at the evo x tb and if not no biggie, I'll just eat the 90 bucks and call it a day. I went ahead And ordered the heat shield for the injen intake so I'll be adding that and the aem strut bar I ordered when they arrive. Thanks for the info on the evo tb because for some reason I thought I read that the evo tb wasnt compatible with our motor.

When I swapped the TB electronics you do have to make slight modifications so that the plastic cover doesn't bottom out and prevent the housing from seating all the way at the mounting points. It's just a matter of grinding a small aluminum tab off the side of the Evo X TB if I remember correctly where it prevents it from allowing the mounting points to sit flush. I started tightening the plastic casing and noticed it was bowing out and quickly backed out the fastener just in time. You can grind it down with an electric drill and grinding stone very quickly or a file would work as well.

The stock snorkel does fit but I had to use a vice to stretch the opening wider and applied some slippery simple green to the inside edges as I installed it. Definitely better off with a matching larger diameter intake pipe setup but I wanted to just make sure it worked as if it was stock, which it did after a little grinding.

These are the pics of the license plate mount for the 2008+ lancer/ EvoX that i modified to work with the Outlanders front bumper. It took a few passes with a razor knife to get the right fit ment, but i like how it turned out. It has a more stock feel rather than the JDM after market mounts do, just my opinon.

So how loud is it with no muffler? With no turbo to absorb some of the sound it has to be a bit brutal!

It actually sounds great. It's a little bit on the loud side when it is cold but after it warms up its nice.

waiting to see this!

I personally would not plasti dip the hood or roof, Maybe wrap them in vinyl. I'm very curious to see the muffler delete and hear it. also wondering if and how much low end torque you lost.
