Hello,
We do not have a system for your application. We looked at an Outlander a
few years ago and the vehicle had a compound hood hinge - this eliminated
any opportunity for gas springs. This type of hinge doesn't pivot the
hood about a point, but it moves the pivot point forward as the hood
raises. This causes the hood to move as it raises and causes problems
with the geometry of the gas spring. Please check your vehicle to see if
you have a compound hinge or if your model has changed back to a standard
hinge.
Thank you,
Brian

We have the simple (normal) hinges that utilize a "J" arm with the pivot-point tucked stightly back into the fender-well corners.

I don't think there's enough room to just "fit" a gas lift strut in that space.
If you Really want to use a gas lift strut for the hood, you will probably need something custom like this > (meant for an EVO, so I'm sure it should work with our O.Sports)

I emailed them back informing them that the Outlander SPORT is a different vehicle and has a normal standard hinge. Let's hope they take another look at it. I hate grabbing the hot *** prop rod when I have to open the door right after driving.

Got another reply from them on facebook. It seems that they should have the best knowledge on the closest compatible kit since they have experience on hundreds of vehicles, but I guess they really need to see the Outlander Sport first hand to see.

Gunna order that and black out the "Outlander" badge, then place that red "Sport" badge right underneath it. The badge above is for the Suzuki Swift Sport. The idea popped in my head this morning and it matches my color scheme, lol.

I thought about getting one of these >

I don't like the vinyl sticker Mitsu used on our rear window. But, been on the fence about it since I've seen lot of you guys shaving the rears and it looks quite good that way.
Just can't make up my mind.
