My wife understands me perfectly.. Before we even considered marriage, she got a full dose of what I'm about - hands on & build your own type - by making her build her own custom workstation the first day she started at the company we were at.

Showed her my garage full of tools. So, she knew what she was getting into.

I picked up my OS Friday night. By saturday night/sunday morning I was already looking at forums and thinking about modding. My girlfriend looks over at my computer screen, then looks at me and says "new vehicle, new obsession" I just can't leave vehicles stock anymore. She knows that's one of my hobbies and she enjoys my work. As long as I mess with her Focus she doesn't complain.

Since this thread is officially derailed, lol, When we went shopping for my wifes new ride, one of the first things she asked is "what can we do to it" or lets do "bla bla bla".

She's a gear head like me (and our daughter) Spent time working on my truck for me after I had a bad accident. She's changed out radiators, batteries, transfer cases, etc. She's one true find and the only one for me.

She liked my car and the Volk Racing wheels on it so I told her to get her own. So she did. 3 years later we bought a big house, and 4 years after that we're getting married this November. Here's a little story about us...

Ha awesome! I feel like im in good company now!

So who is doing what next?

Ive been reading on the lancer fourms about them hitting 200hp with evoX cams, springs, retainers, injectors, and TB... hate to void my warranty, but I think TB and injectors are deff. Next they should not be able to tell on that. Then cams after warranty expires.

I thinking Evo X throttle body as well and selling the eclipse one i have and than jumping to the stage 3 RRM upgarde. pulley, timing control and piggy back.

I first need to lower this monster truck for better handling. need to figure it out. way too many maybes and possibles.
I think the ISC coilovers are best at th moment. but at $800.00+ its an investment rather than an upgrade. lol.

Ours is going for more of an off road capable build. I'd really like to get some more power out of it, still waiting for time to do the pulley I bought and then do the exhaust. TB,,,, maybe, I'm curious as to how well the injectors will work with the stock TB. Seeing as how the Takeda intake is an open unit, I'm not sure the Lancer air duct is even worth doing other than it looking cooler. As for as the NA 2.0 motor goes, this intake is plenty for the volume of air it'll suck. (especially if it "forced")
I'd be up for a small turbo and tuning this thing in a heart beat tho, even getting to 250hp would really wake this thing up. I'm just not sure about the CVT being worth a crap.
Sure wish they would have done like Hyundai and had a turbo option without the CVT.
Or even a 2.4. I like this little ute's size and looks, perhaps just Modding it till I like it will be better than trading for something I "settle" for.

Has anyone tried this yet?

Looks promising, and I wonder about this stall. It is a timing controller for the Outlander Sport.

It's basically adding 2-3* timing so you will need to run at least 89 octane to be knock free and get the expected 4-6 horsepower gains. Personally I think the better way to go is ECU tuning via ECUFlash but getting the definitions for 2012-2013 Outlander Sports has been challenging.

I finally posted some videos of my latest NARRA Time Trials event at NJMP, check the links in my signatures if you want to see a Mitsubishi pushed to the limits of the tires around a road course.

Loud scooping air sound and in the cold weather (for Texas that is) mid 30 deg. sun out and cloud free, she wanted to scream.
Now you are not going to get Evo speeds lol, but it does add a lot to the driving experience now you can hear the motor getting up and going!

I will be posting more as I get the other mods on the RVR!

thanks again!
Do you get a better low rpm torque by installing these? did the heat shield work?

Has anyone opened up their headlights yet? I have a pair of white led strips that I think would look great running along the eye brow. I usually wouldn't do this, because most led strip jobs on headlights look really ugly, but our headlights have this weird distorted glass thing running along the top that will obscure the strip. It will just look like a nice long line of bright white light running a long the top.

They're permasealed, so you'll probably have to cut them open...

There's gotta be an easier way to do this. I really don't want to go through baking headlights open again. Maybe get a professional ship in a bottle builder and have them tweeze in my led strips for me lol. Or maybe just adhere them to the hood, just above the headlights and they can double as hood lights, haha.

I actually laughed out loud Thanks for that.

You could get the side-firing LED strips and put them under the light. Also, again, permaseal, so baking won't work. You'll have to cut them, baking is the easy way.
