***Official WA Chat Thread***
Was I a victim? No. It was a business transaction to benefit you, and you basically backed out of it.
I went to the effort of contacting you, doing research into what you needed/wanted, fronted you the money and all I asked in return (and at the time I made the order) was that you pick it up. I shouldnt have to pay for your oil AND deliver it.
Everybody in the transaction knew up front that I dont make a single penny from doing this! I only do it to benefit others.
It is insulting for you to claim that I act like a "victim" when the reality is that I was far too generous.
I did have another friend who wanted the wheels, and he had money in-hand to purchase them, he contacted me the day after your initial inquiry. (truth in fact: After you reneged, he purchased the wheels 2 days later)
However, you were back into the evo game and were the first person to contact me. We spoke for approximately an hour on the phone and came up with a loose plan. You didnt have the money but would figure out what kind of deposit you could do, probably 50% down.
We spoke again a few days later and now your deposit was to be 20% of the purchase price. Thats quite a stretch, but we were going to make it happen.
Borrow money from family: No, my roommate borrowed a grand from me, so it put me in a tight spot. That wasnt going to be a problem because we had already agreed on our deal over the phone. The roommate wouldnt have gotten that much if we hadnt made a agreement.
Again, you are trying to call me out as the guilty party in this deal and i'm giving you a more accurate recount of the events. If you think i'm being defensive its because you reneged on two transactions with little to no notification. I should be calling you out. But i'm not. I'm giving the facts.
Wheels: things happen and after two bad dealings when a buyer wants to put a down payment it will never be offered again. (the other dealing has nothing to do with you)
PM: I dont need to. You called me out and made it seem that i'm a bad person to do business with. which was the only reson I replied in any way. Ask any of the other guys in that deal, or my past dealings, and while my on-line personality is aweful, i'm a man of my word and have successful transactions.
Proof to the point that there arent hard feelings was personally inviting you to the dent removal day. You're a awesome guy and AZ was bonkers! The Amsoil thing is only there to help other people out so I put the foot down that i'm not also the delivery boy.

Well, Ryan, I certainly was not trying to say you were bad to do business with. If that is how it came out then I apologize. Again, that was not my intent. You came to me and offered me some great deals and it didnt work out.
I definitely didnt back out on either of our transactions. I wont back down from that statement.
I also do not like being called out. I have done business with many people here on the EvoM and never had issues like we have had. You say that I backed out many times but you and I know it wasnt me "backing out" it was me being unavailable. I had different things come up and you did as well. You asked me to pick it up on Valentines Day and I couldnt. You asked if I could pick it up on a Sunday when you got back in town and I never heard from you. Point is; WE BOTH HAD THINGS COME UP, ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. As for the wheels, I had sent you a text saying I was ready to pick them up with the $350 down you asked of me, which was more than fair. This was several weeks after we initially spoke about them. Then you let me know that you had someone else interested and you would speak to them and then get back to me. You ended up selling to them. So how did I back out? I agree that it took me some time to get the cash together as I was in the process of moving and let you know that from the get-go.
I AM IN NO WAY SAYING YOU ARE THE BAD GUY HERE, **** JUST DIDNT WORK OUT AND I HOLD US BOTH ACCOUNTABLE. I only responded to Yahu's post because of how it was worded. I certainly did not refuse to pick it up. NOT THE CASE.
AZ was cool as hell with you, I still have people from the bank coming up to me and talking about it and bringing you up. Good times!

I didn't know what I was going to start, and I didn't even know who was on the other end of said transaction. I just knew Ryan had oil and if I took that oil weight in any of my vehicles I would have bought it when I heard about it. What I will say is Ryan is doing people a favor. He has been burned more than once and like most of us, he doesn't have a money tree growing in his back yard.
I do have to ask...Valentine's day? He's had the oil for nearly ~1.5 months??? That's worse than Eric getting down to UPS!
*edit - one more thing...how in the fugg did those wheels turn into a grand?! Didn't I sell them to you for like $350 + IX wheels? What tha ****?!

All this is lame anyway. Who cares. I'll take all the blame so we can all move on. Next!
Holy schnikey
!!! It's $250 to get on the track at ridge this weekend. Don't believe I'll be paying that much. I guess it's not gonna be as easy as I thought to get on out there.

Gotta pay to play dude, and believe Tim and I when we say it's worth every penny. Best track in state, hands-down. That said, I'm sticking closer to home for my next track day - will do some tnt @ PR when I get some bills paid down.
