Well I dunno...don't have the time to take the Ohlins off and the other stuff You could buy them though and make it easy on me. Come spring maybe I'll be more motivated...till then I keep collecting more shiny parts

would a 9 turbo fit directly on the 05 evo 8

 

not if the only thing you have is the turbo, it needs the evo 9 inlet pipe. I think you can bend your oil lines to fit but thats probably a bad idea.

05' evo 8 turbos are the same as the IX turbos aren't they? they came with the 10.5 hotside

 

thats wat i thought too. isnt the o5 turbo bigger than the 03-04 evos

 

^ ya i thought that too i believe the 05 is when they introduced the new bigger turbo to the evo

 

so then it should bolt right on.

 

is it also true that when getting a new FMIC you lose HP unless you get it tuned? i was goin to buy a bigger FMIC but one of my friends told me that i would lose HP.

 

^^^ no, not necessarilly. kinda depends on the core/size, etc etc^^^

but to MAXIMIZE performance from an upgraded intercooler...a tune is necessary.
