Laying out the base plates on the trunk. Gotta make sure everything gets straight relative to the car.

I just ordered the carbon fabric, resin, and vacuum bagging supplies. I got enough material to build the wing and have a bunch left over for other fun projects. It should be here in a week or so.

I got 2x2 twill fabric, ended up using these guys as their prices were the best I could find.

I'm pretty excited to start working with carbon and composites. I wanted to take a graduate class on it during my senior year and couldn't due to schedule conflicts. There are lots of things to build once you know how to work with this stuff.

There's no mold. It's going to have an aluminum and foam core - the carbon will wrap around that and be vacuum bagged.

I'm starting to think about what other stuff I could build in carbon now....

What brand foam core did you go with? Very Nice work as your skills grow we have also seen your confidence build to take on these other new projects. you could maybe start by doing your VG in carbon and maybe some carbon headlight covers for when you on the track
