I love this buid, man. Are you happy with the EF4? It's the turbo I'm considering, but it seems you've had quite a few issues with it thus far.

I really do love the turbo yes. I cant complain with being able to hold off a 775whp Supra up to 140mph by 2 cars The guys at MAP are great and handled the situation I had with the turbo excellently and quickly.

Thanks guys EF4 ftw for sure. A build like this comes with issues by default, it sucks but most of the time beating the poop out of a car like this comes with waiting for the next break down to fix something stupid. Of course, the track is an evil dick. Ive probably done 100 WOT pulls with the car and about 8 or 9 street launches and didnt have any issues. The one track day I go to, my car breaks and my friends TT GTO breaks At least its early enough in the year so that hopefully all the issues can be hopefully taken care of before it gets super into the spring and summer.

We got the car torn apart very quickly two nights ago. Axles came right out with no issues, we're dropping the trans tonight and will be patching everything up and hopefully it will be running tomorrow or Friday!

The same thing happened to my flywheel last summer. I had 3 of the bolts back out. So while it was at the shop, I had them send the trans to shep. I haven't had any issues since.

G/L on getting her back up quickly.

My transmission is unbolted...my throwout bearing HAS to be popped off, theres a huge amount of space between it and the pressure plate. The transmission will not come out. Anyone have any ideas?

Pry bar and use a hoist on the trans to take some lateral load off the input shaft w a jack under the oil pan. Just put a sling around the trans and use the hoist to adjust the angle and swing the trans out

Firstly, I would like to thank Evan at Exedy for hooking me up on replacement parts.

Well, nothing was working haha. So I had to last resort move and take the bolts out of the back of the flywheel to pull everything off. Once the trans was off, it took 4 different people and several hours trying to get the pressure plate to release from the TOB. My DSM buddy eventually said fack this sh*t and he started snapping apart pieces to release everything. It worked, and I didnt care since I had a new HR pressure plate and TOB to install. Literally, everything that was by the book did not work to get this pressure plate out. Heres the carnage!

Stuborn ******** SR pressure plate and the purdy new HR plate.

Finally got ******** out

Transmission smiling back at me for finally getting ******** out. Thats all melted on pressure plate metal, its actually not gouged transmission housing. Most of that peeled right off.

Clutch back on the flywheel!

Tonight the trans goes back in...hopefully smoothly. Probably not
