I'm still waiting for my car to get back but the situation will be handled this week. Even if I have to pull my car.

"Race his car when its done" - Me

"I need my drag radials and race gas tune first" - Supra owner

71 mil. turbo, pump + meth and he needs race gas for a stock frame turbo evo

lulz

Little update, a few friends came over last night and helped get some more stuff done. The stripped bolt in the knuckle was replaced, it was so beyond wrecked it was funny. So now all thats left is a few small things and do all the fluids and I need to find Penn Break in Oil or something else with Zinc in it I could use for break in that isnt synthetic. Im hoping to have it running by the weekend.

why would you use a power enterprise HG when they are known to pop on 2.4??? you need to either get the AMS 2.4 HG or i heard english racing now makes a custom one but i dont know much about that

I went with the PE gasket because of how theyre supposed to do the exact opposite of what you just said. Where were you a month ago with this information, oh guardian of the evom info!? It seems like a pretty high quality piece.

I had an AMS gasket previously, and I didnt know ER made one. The

You can no longer get the AMS gasket by itself. We had good luck with the PE but we were also o-ringed...

Like Sven I've heard the PE was quality. I bought it to replace the Cometic I had. I'm o-ringed as well as using tscomps solution for crankcase pressure. I hope I'm ok. Didn't know ER had a head gasket solution

Yea same, my head is O-Ring'd so I hope it holds up. If not oh well Ill try something else. The head was torqued down perfectly though so I'm not very concerned. If it goes oh well it'll be fixed eventually.

Whats Toms solution for crankcase pressure? Im running no pcv to an open catch can setup...with pretty black and red Jegs fittings and hose and STM AN valve cover fittings lol.

Exhibit A - https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...d-block-2.html

Summary: just like the great o2 dump on a stock turbo debate...there is no f*cking clear cut answer and a few of those chiming have no clue as to what a car even is, let alone where o-ring's should be lol.

Yeah the internet is a blessing and a curse. There is almost the same amount of opinions in either direction for various important topics. Like AmS BSE vs. The OEM stubby shaft solution, what's the best head gasket, to o-ring or.not o-ring, best way to break in a motor. I have friend trying to figure out what's the best route to take.......he's going nuts.

On the crankcase solution you run a line from valve cover to catch can to intake manifold (check valves to make the flow go that direction) and one from the valve cover to catch can to intake (in my situation to the ground) with check valve going that direction.

Ok gotcha!

Baby update: I should have done this weeks ago, but I decided to send my injectors in to FIC for a cleaning and checkup. I sent them yesterday, FIC got them today and Mike who Ive been speaking to over email about the situation got back to me and let me know that one was completely blocked up with rust and was pretty fubar'd. Heres a pic he sent me of the bad injector.

So I got that injector replaced and the other 3 were cleaned up and they got them sent them right back out to me. Im very happy with how cool Mike at FIC is and that the guys there were able to get right on them and get them right back out to me.
