Thank you! Ill be sure to get a video up, probably on Sunday when I get the small stuff situated and give it its first true start. It was only running for 5 seconds. Gotta get the coolant bled, tcase filled, and bleed the acd.

I got the car running around 12 tonight, took it out for 30 miles to give it a break in. It drove awesomely, so smooth and crisp. The turbo sounded incredible, I cant imagine what it will sound like in boost haha, just bringing it up in vacuum sounded silly.

It didnt want to stay on at idle, but Im pretty sure its just a plug change it needs cause I had oil in the cylinders before starting the car. It was idling fine for a little bit, it sounded amazing too. Nice and lopey.

My water pump pulley is rubbing my timing cover too pretty badly, so thats going to have to get taken care of. My manifold turned a lovely golden color too, it looks awesome Sorry for the sporadic thoughts, Im just happy its running finally.

Update time: For the past few days Ive been thinking my idle was kinda loud up front. I thought I had an exhaust leak. I heard it loudly down low, so I looked around for a bit and then I put my hand under the dump tube and sure enough there is exhaust coming out of my dump tube.

Reason being: my MAP o2 gasket was mysteriously changed out with an OEM gasket last year during its build. I didnt even think anything of it so when I put the turbo and o2 housing together, I just threw the gasket back on that had been on there previously.

So, now Im waiting on the proper gasket from MAP. In the mean time, Im enjoying driving the car very much. Ill get an idle video up later or something.

My knock sensor is acting up, so Im going to be replacing that. Hopefully my gasket comes for the o2 housing soon so I can get that done and outta the way.

Sorry for the delay! Heres an idle video, idle right now is at 1100 or so, it was at 1000 but I raised it temporarily. I will get another video of it with a proper lopey idle soon

You have an Evo IX. I understand the ricer desire for a lopey idle, but there is absolutely no reason why your idle should sound any different than stock. Target rpm should be right around 1050 due to the decreased vacuum at idle. Mivec ftw.

If this confuses you, talk to JohnBradley.

Aaron IS tuning my car I want the Mivec advance trick to get the lope, stupid? Yes. Stupid? No. lol.

My vacuum is 9in-hg and I changed it back to target of 1000 which was where Aaron had it and it sits right around 1060 I believe right now.

This here is ultimately my desired idle, its perfect IMO. Smooth and consistent with a nice chop.

Getting there...little setbacks so far. The idle is a combo of how I would normally set this car up on the O2 and its bouncing around on the idle which further makes the computer chase. Idle will be good in the end.
