That rule of thumb assumes standard pump gas - probably 91. I bet none of those guys are running anything less than E85? That changes the amount of power you can make per lb of air quite substantially!

I'm not a welder, so I have to ask : is the aesthetics of a weld so important? Maybe it's more important the penetration or other parameters?
Something like an head port and polish, a shiny head not necessarily will work!

Correct. But you know what the world is like, how it looks is more important to most people than how it performs

I think the welds indicate how talented the welder is. The more "beautiful the welds" the better skill it seem to indicate the welder has.

Practice makes perfect but in the photos posted before it looked like Spyros welding so to be fair to him and the fact they admit to being a small shop who do lots of things, i think its ok. He doesn't weld all day, he does dyno, engine part design, engine building, mapping.

are the angled sections a different material or is it just the lighting from the pic?

The tube is unfinished. The straight tube comes with a smoother finish than the bends. Other shops take the time to polish the tubing a bit before welding them together.

Ill be interested to see both gates installed.

Not that aesthetics really matter if it performs it performs however...

Im not trying hate here but headers that I have seen from Toxic/ETS/Full Race/Shearer do look a bit nicer.

That and if it was mine I'd prefer a WG on either side but again if it performs it performs

I will be as supportive as I can to the op, but if that were mine I would **** in a bag put that thing in it and ship it back to where it came from and tell them I want my money back. That thing looks god awful I'm sorry. When the op or anyone else pays top dollar for something and they get that in return, that would make things disheartining. The mani doesn't even look like it was even finished before it was shipped out. Transitions look terrible, doesn't look like anything was blended at all, welds dont look to bad but not cleaned up I mean there is a lot worng with it in my eyes. If you were going to crown yourself for whatever it is they crown themselves for and this is the end result, I would be a bit sceptical wouldn't you be?

Being I know you were being sarcastic I would have to agree with this. Being supportive of members is one thing and I wish the op all the luck in the world but looking out for them is another. You are correct that thing looks horrible.

If it works, it works. I dont want to hate on it because Im sure OP payed good bucks for this piece.....BUT, looking at ET boasting about exotic materials he uses, I was honestly expecting something like the cbrd F1 out of titanium or some other exotic material.
