After looking what R/TErnie said and looking at pics of other tubular manifolds from vendors here, I can definately see the difference in the welds. Interesting design, it doesnt appear equal length as well. Im surprised ET hasnt come here to chime on and defend his product.

Don't expect it. It looks like they left this forum for good.

So lets be serious here, judging by the hierarchy of educated comments, if it doesn't look pretty, it won't perform. Oh please. As much as I like things to be aesthetically pleasing, lets not distract from the purpose of the component. If it delivers the goods, does it really matter if it wasn't cleaned up to look bling before it was welded.

No effence to R/T Ernie, I've seen your workmanship, yes its superb, but being pretty rarely equals being fast.

I fail to see where sub-par weld quality and sub-par overall appearance with an over the top price tag is acceptable.

If he paid $700 for it, you'd have a point. That manifold is within my level of fabrication skills and I'd feel bad charging somebody over $700 for that manifold.

If you are paying top dollar, you should get top dollar work.

Several of the items R/TErnie pointed out are not just cosmetic issues. They will lead to part failure.

One thing that remains the same is,No matter what car you drive or own..All the forums are always filled with the same kind of people Usually there is a handful of people who really know there **** then the rest are people who read something once then they repeat what they read and act like they know what there talking about..The others are just know it all's from birth!

I mean I can see if the mani was just got finished being welded up and him sending a pic to the guy and say hey I have some more work to do on it but here it is after welding. I mean some of that stuff can be fixed but a lot of it can't be. For all who dont know what porosity is and why it is bad, when it is on something like that and heats up the heat will actually make the weld brittle being it traps the heat and instead of being a solid weld it is more like a bunch of tiny joints instead of being solid. All that heat will break that bond and yeah it falls appart.

Who cares what Tim does for a living.... bashing is bashing and it's all part of the fun of the internetz. Put it this way - If I was a bricklayer - I'm sure I would get some form of enjoyment poking fun at poorly built wall built by a bricky claiming to be the worlds best.

The thing is with the car tuning industry in today's day and age there is so much exposure - for good and bad. If a company or someone is claiming they are better than everyone else then they're going to get attention. People are going to doubt, expect, hate and poke fun until real proof and results are laid down for everyone to see. Such is life. If ET are all that they claim to be then they will be able to walk the walk as well as talking the talk.

Lets see some results, some broken records to shut us the **** up. When this happens then this idle, small talk can be laid to rest. Myself - I'm looking forward to seeing the results come in. It's certainly nice to see a company developing "high end" parts for the evo platform - especially from an EU country.
Good luck to Extreme Tuners - it can't be easy working in such an industry when your country is economically flat on its ****. I wish them well.

IDK if its the same one, but somewhere on page 71 of ET's thread, highest hp 4g63 from 2007, he has a tubular manifold in the process of getting welded and advertising it as an "affordable" manifold.

I think we all need to keep in mind that the OP is one us who shelled out his money for the parts. While we all want to know what this cost, myself included, we run a danger of influencing the existence of a real human being who actually put something on the line. If he wants to tell us, great. If not, I think we need to tread gently here. At least that's how I feel.

ET should be given a fair chance from everybody(other shops and vendors included). Everyone started bashing way too soon and basically bullied them off the forum.
O.P. I hope you get everything you wanted out of this new setup, and kudos for thinking outside the box and giving a new shop a chance.
