UPDATE!!!

Hey Everyone. I finally have some updates on the car and this thread. Dropping the car off to Boostin to get the AMS rear small brakes and CNC staging brake installed in the car. It has been awhile since i been to the track last. The shootout was the last passes the car has made. I am stoked to get these new parts on there and get back to the track a couple more times before the snow comes. Stay tuned for pics and more updates. I plan on going to the track this weekend depending on weather

Brought it to the track last Tuesday and the first pass the clutch started slipping right when I launched the car lol. I knew it was going to happen, I just thought I would be able to get a few runs in. That didn't happen at all. I tried to make another pass and it was worse hahaha. Time for a new clutch lol.

Joey,
the CNC staging brake...are you using it with ABS? I was interested in it, but STM said that they hadn't done a kit with the ABS yet.

I'd like to shave the weight.

I am not using it with ABS. My ABS has been gone in the Junk Box for quite some time now. I was going to use the stock location the one STM sells but i want the staging brake closer to the shift knob and make it all one motion. I am using the CNC Staging brake straight handle. I will get some pics up later today and tomorrow of the process!

Sunday is the Boostin Performance open house and the car and I will be there! I look forward to seeing everyone there! Here's another quick pic of the staging brake. I was messing around with it last night and i cant wait to go launch this thing again!

Hey Joey, was wondering which ETS intercooler you had on this car? Is it the 5inch core (width) cooler?

That's great. Are you able to log IAT on passes or have you done so on the dyno? If so, what type of temps do you see from beginning to end of a run?

Also, did u see an improvement in spool up, mid-range power, better IAT vs. your old cooler (whatever that was)?

I'm asking because I'm thinking about putting one of these on my car. Right now i have an older AMS FM and it is insufficient for what I'm doing.

To be honest I really dont know what the temps i see during the beginning to end of a run. I would say spool has been the same in the car, nothing has really changed with that. I think i picked up some top end with the 5" core.

You wont really see improved dyno numbers with the bigger FM core, but you will notice and possibly see a difference at the drag strip. When I put the 5" core on, it went on with the EVO 8 head swap i did to get rid of the MIVEC. So the car to me was a completly different car but of course in a good way.

Whats going to be your setup? I ran the 4" intercooler from ETS most of all last season and never had any problems with it not being enough. Now i am making some serious power, i thought i might need to do the switch. Thats when i decided to go with the 5".

This is my car - https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...gear-pull.html

I ended up maxing out a set ID2000s (98% DC) this summer. The intercooler on the car was scalding hot after a pull because it is just not large enough to disperse the heat.

Biggest change for me is that I'm going to put one of Dave' automatic transmissions in the car and switching to an aluminum long-rod 2L engine. We'll see how it goes.

Great numbers man! Yea if your maxing out ID2000s then i would def switch up to the bigger intercooler. Where my car sits now, my injectors are no where near maxed out. I think they are around 89% if i remember right.

Everyone is switching over to the Buschur Auto lol. Cant wait to see when he brings the bad bish back out. I saw the car at the shootout, but i didnt get a chance to see it make a pass. That could be something on my list down the road for sure
