Yep! Got a great job working 60 hours a week. Had a new baby. Just moved. Lol.

Have some things going. I bought a new downpipe and I have some money set aside for a new FMIC. Need to put some money into my wife's Passat, though. So that's it for a bit. I'll need tires soon and will probably do wheels with them.

Bump for a small update.

Installed the RRE downpipe.

Old Megan:

New RRE hotness:

I was very happy with the quality of the downpipe. My only complaint is that RRE claims clearance for both of the stock braces. With the Megan, I could run the rear. With this pipe, neither fit. There's a small possibility that my thicker Grimspeed manifold to turbo gasket causes the whole assembly to shift down a little bit, but I'm not sure. I may test that out later this year.

Also got the VRSF 3.5 inch FMIC on:

Very happy with the fit on this. Install was easy-peasy. My Muse UICP fits much better than it did with the stock piece, too.

Picked these up for a song. I'm going to shave down the intake manifold and have Curt Brown work his magic on them. Hopefully installed this summer when I can afford some new injectors.

Installed a Radium catch can on my intake side. Build quality is awesome, but the can makes contact with my mini battery. I need to work on making some adjustments to the battery tray to compensate.

Also having another valve cover coated. Should be done and installed soon.

QUESTIONS!

As far as the catch-can. It's been installed for 3 months. CORRECTLY. I don't have a DROP of anything in the can. I don't believe for a second that I have zero blowby. Any thoughts?

Second questions. I picked up some Toyota coils and ordered a SpoolinUp DIY kit. Any suggestions on plugs and gap? Trying to get rid of some partial throttle drivability issues.

Thanks! Sorry for the delay on the update.

Great update! That RRE down pipe looks killer and that FMIC will keep things more consistant. When I had a COP on my old Evo VIII I believe I ran the plug gap between .024-.026, but it's been a bit so hopefully someone else can chime in.

Do you have any engine bay pics of your catch can set up? I would think you'd have something in there too. Keep up the good work !

I don't think the intake side really spits out any oil. I re-routed my PCV valve to the driver side vent and am using the STM -10an fitting going to my catch can. I only get a drop or so of oil in the can though lol.
I made my own COP kit with K20 coils. I think I'm running around .021-022. Just try it out and see how it drives. The COP should improve drivability, mine did and I love it!

Got the DIY kit in. Matt is awesome. Going to work on the plate this weekend and I ordered a crimp tool to do the wiring. Matt sent me some Denso W24ESR-U and suggested .026 gap.

Battery died this week. Been limping along by jump starting it off my full sized. Ordered a PC680 that should be here soon. I'll try to get a picture soon.

I had a little oil in my intake piping. I ordered the catch can so I wouldn't get any nasty in my new FMIC. I'll definitely do the PCV side before I put the new intake manifold on.

Worked a little on the COP mounting plate. Really just got the holes drilled for the mounting. My stepped bit isn't big enough for the holes for the coil packs. I'll order one and get that finished up and off for powder quickly.

A member offered me a sweet price on some MR Bilsteins and springs. Hoping to pick those up a the end of June if all goes well!

Got this put together this weekend:

I'll try to nicen up the loom and may eventually paint the plate or have it coated. Happy with the performance, although I haven't logged. Seems like it runs a hair more boost. Drives pretty smooth.

Lol. My #4 didn't get centered. Had to enlarge the hole. Doesn't matter, it works and looks okay from here. My valve cover is ready for me and I ordered a new heat shield that looks a little nicer.
