Thanks!

TurboSmart AU wanted $100 to ship the bracket... they only ship FedEx. So, that's out, unless any Aussies are reading and want to help me out.

Otherwise, that's the next thing on my list. I don't want to screw up the actuator from having that angle on it. I'll probably go ahead and order an 18psi. If anyone wants to buy my 14 (with 8 bracket), let me know. It's in great shape.

I also need a condenser fan. Mine squeels like a pig.

I did a pull the other night at 50 degrees. Spiked to 27.7. Made 331/343 uncorrected. Not sure what my car weighs right now, though. But, the car feels really strong. Swain sent my first piece back. Should have it in a day or two.

Not a lot new. Just tuning when I can. Bought my 18psi actuator today.

14psi on evo 8 bracket is for sale if anyone wants it. Barely a year old.

Getting pretty excited here...

Rebuilding my VIII-vhxz0wo.jpg

Just waiting for the manifold. I sent it late (I'm broke). Probably 2-3 weeks. Hardware and gaskets are also ordered.

New actuator is doing well. Car holds boost nicely. 26.5psi made 350/354 the other night in the cold. Not sure how flat the road was, but the car feels quicker than ever.

I have had so many issues with this car and coolant leak. Gaskets failing, bolt snapping, brand new heater hoses leaking.

So, I was leaking... again. Bought the bullet and bought a brand new Gates pump, bolts, and gaskets from STM.

Installed on Monday or Tuesday. I cant'remember, haven't slept much this week.

Sucks you're having so many issues bud. Was the gates pump bad? Is that the noise we are hearing in the video?

Im meeting up with my buddy later tonight after work and banging out a timing belt on his car and he picked up all Gates parts except for the tensioner pully as per the timing belt on a budget thread. Keeping my fingers crossed that it's good quality since we're doing the exact same thing on my car next weekend...

Yeah, it's the pump. STM is sending me a new one, although they say they only suggest OEM... But unless you drill down to OEM parts on their site, this is the option they give you for WATER PUMPS.

Timing belt isn't bad with 2 people at all. It's not even THAT bad with one person, just getting up and down to mess with it. Good luck!

If you're doing the water pump, make sure you use all new bolts. They will corrode, stretch, and snap.

Looks like I'll be taking the car apart this weekend for more than one reason, now...

Make sure to use a tq wrench. The bolts aren't supposed to be tightened all that much. I think 16lbs or so. I have snapped one before and it was a pain in the *** to fix.

Good deal. That same trip when I snapped my bolt I learned to make sure your ebrake is off when towing. I flat spotted a set of rear tires dragging the car.

Oil pan is sealed up nicely. Downpipe is re-wrapped. Water pump delivers today. The only issue I'm having is getting my O2 sensor out of the stock housing....

Did a little at noon.

Rebuilding my VIII-ciyijtu.jpg

Got my O2 sensor out. I had trouble with it trying to strip. The O2 socket was opening up. Hose clamp and vice grips around the socket did the trick. Lol.

Phew! She goes!

Rebuilding my VIII-y2wlzlk.jpg

Replaced water pump
Re sealed the oil pan
Re wrapped my downpipe
Curt brown ported/Swain Tech Coated exhaust manifold, turbine housing, Greddy O2 sensor housing
ARP exhaust manifold studs
"tucked" my throttle cable and front O2 wiring

I ordered some new Samco hoses, but they haven't come in. I like the orange, but it's a bit bright.

I'll also be paining my heat shield black soon.

Really happy with how the car feels. No logs, yet, as it's raining, but I had a little fun. Hopefully this is the end of my leaks!!!
