Coming from the dark world of Hondas I am use to seeing tucked bays. This is the best tuck I've seen in the Mitsubishi community thus far. I know more good examples are out there but it's a lot less common from what I've seen. I would be happy with a mild tuck, basic re routing so less is seen but I get aggravated with it. Seeing this makes me want to do it that much more. So clean man. Keep up the great work.

thanks for the kind words,

the mild tuck is easier than you think, probably no more than an hour to do .. here is what a mild tuck used to look like on my car a few years ago

That's exactly what I'm talking about. Well, I wasn't even thinking that much really. I didn't know it could look that good with just some basic rerouting. Now I really have no excuse not to.

its alive, so thats a good sign that the wiring relatively works..

lifters are noisy, fuel pressure has to be adjusted, aluminum exhaust in garage doesn't sound the best, No alternator hooked up. Besides these things it is a monumental step for the car to start. Time to button her up and move it outside. Sorry for the crappy Iphone video

Good to see it up and running Warren. I'm really excited for out meet on the 20th. There's a 10% change my car won't be ready but it's looking good so far. I'll race the daily if my black car isn't there.

I am really pushing it with this car as well.. If I drive it down to the track for the meet on the 20th I probably won't race it, I will instead try to get the colt running and launching well with the slicks instead ( car is a handful with short wheel base)

either way I am craving the smell of race gas and burning rubber

Congrats on getting her started Warren! I'm interested in seeing the final weight once she's all back together.

shes alive thats always a weight off your shoulders when it starts up care to share what you used for the power steering line closest to the passinger side ? i found a fitting for the rack i think it was m16x1.5 but i havent been able to find one that was slim enough to fit in the pump.

I don't think that it will be that light when compared to others, if my math and assumptions are correct, I anticipate the car weighing 2970 with me and 1/4 tank of gas, but we shall see

I want to say that it is a m14 by 1.5 ? for the pump pressure side, I will check my notes

I forgot to post up pictures of the aluminum exhaust and pcv hard line that I did for the car . I was able to purchase the exhaust from a member on the boards and modify it slightly to fit my cars set up

aluminum exhaust is now completed with vband flange, basically one piece downpipe back set up in 3 inch.

A picture of the jun Bl with V band test pipe vs Aluminum exhaust

close up on the v band assembly in aluminum

decided to do a pcv line in hard aluminum line because it is aesthetically pleasing to me versus the regular AN braided line. I built with the concept of it being one piece and saving a few ounces when compared to other alternatives
