Ironically I used the SS housing as the normal housing had history of cracking in track use. So, at least I didn't get stranded at the track but the housing still shat itself, but a different way....

Was high temp copper based anti-sieze used on the bolts? Any idea what they are made of? I took the OEM Mitsubishi turbo bolts to an engineer at my job (and the washers and torque procedure) that designs hardware for $hit I cannot even tell you. He told me they were some exotic stainless that doesn't follow standards for bolt markings. Mitsubishi follows their own pre-WWII internal markings. If you can properly tap and drill a precision turbine housing for those suckers and slather'em with high temp anti-sieze maybe you would have better luck next go?
The OEM mitsu bolts gall and sieze also... So I'm not sure that's the fix. Also the PTE turbine housing bolts are either 8mm or 5/16 IIRC. The mitsu turbo bolts are 10mm, prob wouldn't work.
Since the holes are already ****ed, they're gonna get drilled out so you can put a regular steel insert in them. That plus quality bolts plus anti-seize should be good. You could also drill the heads for safety wire and wire them up so they won't back out. The threads may have only gotten messed up due to the bolts backing out and allowing them to move around in the hole.

With all the build shenanigans over the last two years, I've completely lost interest in the Evo and so whenever I get it back, I will be prepping it for sale. End of an era. I will for sure miss the power but I will for sure not miss only being able to drive it for a month over two years. So done with that.
Good call, with the new C8 coming out and other high profile cars hitting the market it should put some downward pressure on the sports car market in general too. Do you think a PHEV Evo XI might temp you back in a few years, or are you soured on the whole platform at this point?

However, as I get older and realize more and more the finite time we have, I want to enjoy driving and go to track days as much as possible. Which has not been the case the last two years and it's really bummed me out.
Hence the BRZ idea.
BRZ. Coils, tires, upgrade pads + fluid, oil cooler, then track the hell out of it. Simple, enjoyable.
If I wasn't such a track junkie, I wouldn't even be looking at the twins. They suck as a daily and the lack of power on the street would be annoying. However, I already have a nice comfy and fun daily with decent power, my Golf Alltrack which really has everything I need in a daily.
BRZ's handle but the lack of power is gonna **** you off. Unless you force feed it. Heck your ST's had more zip in the straights. Bet you would have more fun in a Type R.....
if you can get past the looks.
Or go maro like you talked about. You tried blue oval ......now try bow tie. Be that domestic guy.

I bet you are right....Now just to get rid of the wing thingy doodads. If I got one I would totally cloak it. Try to make
it look as close as possible to the general admission unit.

No way I could drive a Type R in public in daylight. Plus it's FWD. No thanks for track use.
Ordered a new Precision turbine housing. $450. Three weeks until they can ship one out. Chock up yet another month without the car. Been at the shop for eight months so far this time around.
Local Subarooo dealer called me back and is now offering me $6k off MSRP for a 2019 Performance Pack Brrzzzz..... *shrug*
Have a new DSG tune I am going to flash soon in das wagon. Haven't been super happy about the current DSG tune on the car. Trying a new one from the Netherlands.

He is not the source of any of the problems, it’s been well documented in this thread. Well, other then him taking forever between the problems.
