Looking good! You going to break in the rebuilt motor before the weather turns to ****?
You mean the one set of rings? I did a bunch of vacumn pulls and decels in the 2 miles I drove the car from the transport truck drop back to my house (no way that truck would fit in our neighborhood streets. Unfortunatly after tomorrow I cannot drive the car anymore as my California reg is only good until the end of October. Next is getting NJ plates and inspected, which I am going to try and do before the weather changes to winter. Need to throw the cat on and make sure the ECU is okay. Currently have a camshaft sensor code that I need to chase down.
Started the clean up process. Have to say it still looks pretty good for six years old. I guess it helps it has been sitting for more time than it has been running.
Yea, still going to put it up for sale. Not in a rush to sell it so I'll just post and see what happens.
In my opinion your car is more desirable and valuable than most of your NJ local Evo X’s . It’s a Cali car that’s never seen snow/ salt and probably had a clean rust free underbody.

Please do not drive it in the snow/salt.
Agreed. I don't plan on driving it in winter conditions here. It saw snow two times in California but they don't use salt there so no worries.

As a fellow NJ Evo X driver for the past 5 years, this is 100% true lol. The salt/snow from the roads completely tear up the underbody. Kinda wish I had a second car for a DD and have the Evo for weekend track usage.

you gotta - same story in IL, horrible salting. i let my corolla take all the beatings and leave my evo and m3 in the garage for the winters
I swapped out my front track ST47 pads to put my stoptech street pads in. I continue to be impressed by the Stoptech Trophy kit. First of all, you don't have to deal with those damn caliper pins anymore to swap pads and secondly, I have two track days on these ST47 pads, one of which was on a 5 mile track in 90F+ temps and the pads literally have barely any wear.
I will measure the pads this weekend to see just how little. Very impressive.
