Scratch that idea. This thing was basically impossible to install on the hose without proper tools. After about an hour, I got it onto the hose but then couldn't clamp the fitting on one side, made an overall mess and got fiberglass all over my workbench and myself.
So, I cut it off and after taking a shower to get all the nasty fiberglass off my skin, used some other sleeving I had sitting around and 20 mins later I had a visually horrible but sleeved drain line.
No real updates except I dropped off my IC pipes and intake pipe this last weekend to get properly powder coated.
So, if I ever get motivated enough to put this thing back together, it will look nicer...
I also found some really "great" areas of Newark, NJ on the way to drop off the parts. Holy hell.
The only safe area of Newark when I went to college there was downtown Broad St, and even that was iffy at nighttime 😕
McCarter Hwy (Rt21) is a nightmare with all the potholes.
Spent a bunch of time today putting the turbo back in. Right when I thought "I'm making great progress" I went to connect the oil return line to the block and the SOB was about 5mm too short.
I took a look at the new fitting I used and what would you know, it's about 5mm shorter than the last fitting.
I swear to god this car is going to be the death of me.
