Thats always the worst and doesn't help the X manifold is in the back, and all the heat shielding you makes it extra tight I'm sure. Most Evo 8/9 manifolds are the same way. A few of the nuts have to be put on first with the manifold being held away from the head.

Well, it's not back together yet. I solved one puzzle only to get screwed by the next. Who am I kidding, the car ain't going anywhere for months anyway because of Covid. If by some miracle I get it all back together 100%, it still has to get inspected and registered here in New Jersey and with everything closed, that ain't happening any time soon.

I'll be running that $$$$ cat, and have all the ECU hax so I will be good.

No. Just OBD2 reading and "light inspection". From what I have gathered, most stations look for a cat, you drive over a pit and they have a video stream where they look at the underside. Some just plug in and if everything is okay, you are good.

I am in NY with the same inspection requirements, and your configuration is fine. Even with a CAT without an EPA code (which the G-Sport does have the ID#), I was able to pass no problem.

With the New Jersey MVC (equivalent of DMV) closed because of Covid, I really have no drive to finish the car so I haven't touched the car in a month.
Also bought a 29" BMX bike to cruise around with the wife. Made me remember how much I love bikes, so now I have a bunch of bike parts coming to the house to build more bikes.
Guess I can't stop building things.
Definitely helping me forget the pain in the *** this car has been.

I nevada, the dmv put printable "notice" on the site for you to print and drive and unregistered car or a car with expired reg. As long as you have insurance you're good to go.

They did extend the ability to continue to drive cars that lapse in registration until July, which doesn't apply to me.

I looked through the MVC site and founding nothing like that for NJ. If I had CA tags that hadn't expired maybe, but they expired last Nov. Oh well.

I don't think so. You can always call them to get more info. I see them for sale used once and awhile.
