Thats always the worst and doesn't help the X manifold is in the back, and all the heat shielding you makes it extra tight I'm sure. Most Evo 8/9 manifolds are the same way. A few of the nuts have to be put on first with the manifold being held away from the head.

Hhaha, yea, all that fancy heat shielding is NOT my friend right now, at all. I'd probably had already done this 4x over already if not for the shielding.

Does NJ require smog / emissions testing ? Hopefully not as strict as CARB.

No. Just OBD2 reading and "light inspection". From what I have gathered, most stations look for a cat, you drive over a pit and they have a video stream where they look at the underside. Some just plug in and if everything is okay, you are good.

I'll be running that $$$$ cat, and have all the ECU hax so I will be good.

I am in NY with the same inspection requirements, and your configuration is fine. Even with a CAT without an EPA code (which the G-Sport does have the ID#), I was able to pass no problem.

Good to hear it's just OBDII and a quicky visual. Will you be rolling in with E-85 in the tank? Should have sent you my Apexi $$$$$uper-Catalyzer I have had sitting around for years. Is an Evo IX layout but you could have reconfig'd it.

With the New Jersey MVC (equivalent of DMV) closed because of Covid, I really have no drive to finish the car so I haven't touched the car in a month.

Also bought a 29" BMX bike to cruise around with the wife. Made me remember how much I love bikes, so now I have a bunch of bike parts coming to the house to build more bikes.

Guess I can't stop building things. Definitely helping me forget the pain in the *** this car has been.

I nevada, the dmv put printable "notice" on the site for you to print and drive and unregistered car or a car with expired reg. As long as you have insurance you're good to go.

I wish. Plus the car was never registered to begin with in NJ, no plates, so probably wouldn't be as easy.

They did extend the ability to continue to drive cars that lapse in registration until July, which doesn't apply to me.

That applies for cars brought in from out of state or new purchases since the DMV and all related offices/services are closed. You can't even renew online and have new reg sent to you right now because it's all shutdown.

I looked through the MVC site and founding nothing like that for NJ. If I had CA tags that hadn't expired maybe, but they expired last Nov. Oh well.

I don't think so. You can always call them to get more info. I see them for sale used once and awhile.
