The theme of this build is simple.

My Evo 8 has all the fancy race stuff.

wow i really like that color on that car with black wheels. that looks really sharp.

great post on sharing play by play on adding mods and fine tuning the car also.

if you buy a new set of wheels are you going to stick with black?

I get the simple part. I've heard the stock MRs are pretty soft.

Muahaha! Awesome dude, I love your style! This is the power combo I generally talk to new evo owners about--they have no idea how much potential is sitting untapped and then the car is basically set power-wise forever--fantastic setup.

I'm surprised how little the specR's drop the car...I have Bilstein MR's on my car with Eibach springs and actually have spec R's on my list to swap in but now I am kinda reconsidering--I need to be low so I can plow as much snow as possible up here!

Congrats on the new ride sir.

Thanks, it's been fun so far. My personal approach to modding cars is keeping things simple. Tuning so many stock turbo Evo 10's over the years also helps me know what to put my money into and what not.

Ok, replaced the in-tank hose that seemed a little kinked with a corrugated OEM style hose with no kinky stuff going on and my IDC's are still at 90%.

*I dunno*

380 whp does seem a bit low to be at 90% IDC, but a few thoughts:

- ID1000s aren't that big of an injector either. My recollection is that they scale to around 900 cc/min. Maybe IDCs are supposed to be 90%?
- Have you punched the relief valve on the Walbro?
- Have you checked that inline fuel filter?

Well, what I am comparing it to was my RA Sportback which had the exact same fuel setup but a BBX Lite and was at 96-98% IDC

I don't see a turbo flowing almost 10lb/min more only taking 8% IDC more unless I'm forgetting something.

That said, once I put a full 3" catback on the RA the IDC's jumped to 107%

I have not checked the inline filter but it was new when I installed. I could check it out. I've never punched the relief valve on Walbros. Not a fan of that.

Thank you for the ideas though, they are much appreciated

If you want to get a better feel for what's happening, you could put a pressure gauge on the fuel pump outlet and measure voltage at the pump. Those would tell you exactly what's happening.

Well there is a pressure sensor on the Evo 10 fuel pump assembly. Always wondered if we could log it... although I'm not sure what pressure that is actually reading...

Pardon my ignorance but what's the size of the X turbo and is it equivalent to something like a Green?

The OEM X turbo is approx 43 lb/min

FPgreen is approx 54 lb/min

Its probably fuel tank pressure for EVAP system operation just like for the Evo 8/9. Here is what I built to measure pressure at the pump.

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...l#post10114095

I "logged" the pump pressure by making a video of the mechanical gauge while shouting the rpm.

Anyhow, now that I think about it, you'd probably be better off logging fuel rail pressure. That would be the easiest way to see if the pump is able to supply the necessary pressure at the rail where it counts. Probably the easiest way to do that would be to tee into that hose where the fuel filter is located. Put the tee after the fuel filter, and then tape the gauge to your window. The hose from the tee to the gauge can be very small diameter, so it should be possible to run it out from under the hood. You'd need a 100 psi gauge.

Gotcha thought I saw someone say the X turbo is the same size or larger than the bbx lite which I thought might be comparable to the Green.
