AMS still sells theirs. I wouldn't call the MAP one "the best"

The AMS one is a billion dollars compared, but a great design. The MAP one was very much influenced by that kit.

I was looking at the AMS kit at the time but the MAP one was a better deal.

That said, I still wish both of them had Tial flanges instead of Precision.

I wouldn't say a billion dollars more. The map kit was just insane cheap when they had the intro pricing on it. The AMS kit is in line with most turbo kits at $5-6k.

That was basically the only pricing they had until they stopped making them

Alrighty, after some serious thinking, I've decided I am going to put this up for sale. I haven't driven it since we moved to the East Coast and it's coming on two years being here now, and I didn't drive it much before that either.

I have to come to terms that I no longer have interest in it like I used to and it's now just a big piece of metal taking up space in my garage when it could be cash in my bank account.

Now the fun part... what should I be asking for this? Is $34,000 crazy?

**** time to sell a car man. I don't see hwy 30-35 would be unreasonable, but it's gonna be a tough market right now.

I think you're making the right call, Bryan. Just isn't worth staring at a car when you could invest that money and get so much more out of it. I finally pulled the trigger on selling my '03 and buyer is picking it up tomorrow. Good luck with the sale, man!

Yea, don't disagree, however I'm obviously not in a rush to sell it.

Picked up a new car to play with while the Evo still sits under its cover. Literally hasn't moved in a year.

After having a not so great experience with the Golf R you seemed to have warmed back up to VW's.

The MK7’s are like 4,000x better than the MK6’s.

I currently own three vw’s if you can believe it 😎

My Golf R was also a 2013. My 2018 Golf Alltrack Wagon (blue one in the photo above) handles better than that did.
