I used to swap pads and wheels after every event..then I did it less and less...now I don't LOL
I would if I drove the car more (around town), though..
Car up. Jack stands. Other side up. Jack stands..wheel key...off by hand. Revive rotors. Sand down rotors. Reinstall rotors. Swap pads. Spare Wheels off the rack. Swap wheels. Race Wheels up on the rack. Torque lug nuts by hand. Lower car. Other side, lower car.
Yes...I'm lazy. LOL
On yet bright side, I'm not cycling out tires with tons of tread left. At least they're getting worn. 😆
Since it was my birthday on Sunday I bought myself some "gifts" lol
Got my helmet/Hans/and a new Li Battery that I decided to try. Another guy in the motorsports forum recommended it. The box that ALL 3 things came in was so deceivingly light I thought they forgot to ship something. I believe the battery is like 2.5lbs.
Also the wife ordered me a Evo 6 Koyo Radiator(moves coolant hose away from exhaust manifold)as a gift. And now that I have the gates belt to delete AC I'll make a project out of both at the same time. The rad has not arrived yet.
And the next large projects are to remove the rear end, and oil pan. After some research both appear to be easy to remove. I thought at first I'd have to pull the motor to get the pan off, or something drastic.
Nice! Safety is super important. I don't have a roll bar yet, so can't do the seat/harness/hans/etc... and I have to admit I've worried about it any time I've been out there.
I have a Sabelt 5 point. But I dont wana run the harness bar anymore. So I need a cage... And I plan on removing the airbags and a nice wheel at some point. But the steering wheel is pretty low on the totem pole right now.
Maybe I'll try and find a used Autopower one until I pony up for a legit one.
If you havent, comb through AP thread to give you some ideas. Most of us fab'd up some hoop plates so the feet dont blow through the pan (pics & dwgs in the thread)
It may just be a bolt-in, but it added some reinf to the uni-body. You can feel it when angling up a driveway
No, a hans require shoulder harnesses from a real 5 point or 6 point harness setup. Most HNR's require harnesses.
To keep the unit secured so the straps will work. I figured. I just see lots of people stepping out of cars with HANS devices and no roll bars. I'm like "wtf?"
i really, really, really need to save for a bar. It's the key to all my safety stuff. I shoulda' jumped on the AP when i had a chance.
We need you on the bar Business up front, party in the back
Are we talking mullets? : confused:

I would definitely need a diff harness. My 3" straps are too wide for me, as it is. They dig in to my neck and shoulders when I grab the wheel. Not terribly, but it's uncomfortable.
