I want to say everything is triggered/run by the crank sensor, and the cam sensor only provides the timing of when stuff fires.

Go get one of these, makes it easy to check for spark.

Good idea, I have a test light I shoulda thought of trying that last night. Yah I did check all the fuses with a multimeter and verified I'm getting battery voltage at the coils.

I wouldn't use a regular test light to check for spark, it might explode lol.

Yea its weird I had a similar issue before. I was getting onto the freeway and the Evo died as I finished shifting it into fifth gear. Tore apart the Evo and replaced a bunch of parts. I just recently started it and it is working as expected now. If you need help I can come by to lend a hand.

Main items replaced were:

Crank Angle sensor
Cam position sensor
fuel pressure regulator
alternator

Even with those replaced. I still had a non-start. I could crank for days but it wouldn't start. My fuel pump would prime when it wanted to.

Since, I had rewired my fuel pump with the STM fuel pump rewire kit. I tried removing it and fixed the issue. However, I am not sure what the actual cause was.

Thanks that's really nice of you to offer to help. I'll definitely take you up on that if I run into a wall with the diagnostics. Right now I'm just waiting on that spark tester and a new scope as it seems the wife accidently donated mine along with a bunch of old electronics lol. Luckily it was a cheap scope and not some multi thousand dollar piece of kit.

So I pulled the cam sensor and it was coated in oil, and some oil oozed out of the port so I'm guessing that's a pretty big red flag. I cleaned it up and put it back in but still no start, although I'm pretty sure at this point my plugs are probably fouled. I'm gonna try throwing new plugs in there while I wait for the testing gear and see what she does

The sensor housing has oil in it. Nothing out of the ordinary there.

Ok cool that means I won't have to replace some faulty seal then. I still think the cas is the prime suspect right now. I've ruled out most everything else.

Only 1 and 4 are firing and not at the right time which further leads me to believe the ecu is getting a sparatic cas signal

1 and 4 plugs are fouled 2 and 3 are just soaked but clean. Sometimes durring cranking it will fire back against the starter. I could be miss reading those symptoms though, if anyone had any other ideas I'm all ears

What ignition system are you running? OEM and COP fires a spark every revolution.
If 1 & 4 are not firing a spark, and you're on oem coils, that coil is probably bad since 1 & 4 are both connected to it.
But 2 & 3 being soaked and clean is more of not getting a spark. By "fouled", are you saying it's black and wet?

Its a diy cop, coils are fine I manually triggered all of them using the tool LGTD suggested.helpful tip to anyone who stumbles on this, don't hold the tool while you fire the coil. Unless you like tazzing yourself and getting laughed at by your SO. By fouled I mean they are covered in black sooty crap, 2 and 3 almost look cleaner every time I pull them out (probably because they are getting an alcohol bath). They are all soaked when I pull them. New plugs went in and same thing is happening to them.

Did you hold a light bulb with your other hand?
I'd think 2 & 3 are your ignition problem since it's clean and shows no sign of burn. Could your injectors be stuck open? Can you hear clicking?

Did you clean your CAS and checked that wires are not broken & picking up a signal?
