Interested to see how the rear wing will be attached to the trunk.

Also this is the first non-widebody time attack evo I have seen in a long time. Reminds me of a build in the 2010 era.

Paint looks good! Are you worried about the glossiness of the dash reflecting on the windshield during sunny days?

I’ve welded some 1” thick threaded solid steel bar into the rear chassis kegs which the wing will bolt to, can just see the tops here.

I’ll take some better pics tomorrow.

Once the car was baked I took it out the booth and started to fit it all back up.

I fitted the isolater to the ground on the chassis, the seat mounts, seat & steering column. Also test fitted the dash again so I could mark out and cut out the bits on the dash.

Got some more stuff fitted: ecu & pdm & mount, guards, skirts, taillights, lexan rear screen & rear bumper.

Starting to look like a car again

Matte clear coated the dash so I don’t get any glare from the sun.

Also the tilton master cylinders & brake bias adjuster turned up.

Fitted the masters to the pedal box along with the brake bias adjuster and then fitted it to the car.

I ran the brake bias cable along the dash bar and then to the dash where the adjuster goes.

Also got the front screen fitted, not sure if I’ll put the side drip mouldings on that go along the edge of the roof and front to bask. Mine are a bit broken and new ones are $800aud so I’ll have a think.

Brought my car home from the workshop

Some of the hel hoses arrived so I fitted them along with some through bulkhead fittings. The brake pressure for the front is fitted just before the bulkhead through fitting.

Also peeled off the m150 and pdm15 decals and put them on so there the right way up now lol.

Splitter turned up today, it’s from on of my mates who runs the GAS evo at world time attack.

The splitter is carbon, 25mm thick with a foam core and built in tunnels & strakes.

It has the main supports made into the splitter, he’s supplied me some brackets that utilise the oem intercooler mounting bolts, I’ve got to then insert 2 rivnuts each side as well.

Test fitted the wind on the weekend, made some mounts out of plywood just to get a rough height and angel.

My mate then did all the measurements to for it to go down to the mounts in the chassis. He’ll then make the mounts out of 6mm aluminium.

Few little bits over the last couple of days.

Put some stiffer springs in the rear, I’ve gone to 18kg now. I also have the carbon splitter a coat of matte clear to freshen it up a bit.

We also designed the rear wing mount, it will have some horizontal supports as well.
