Yes sir ... no cutting involve ... There's a you tube video of how to remove the factory radio on an evo ... just search it...

It only supports up to 32 gigs ... It has a built 8 gig in the head unit . Plus , it came with a 16gb mini sd ... You can install 3 32gb of memory which I did ( mini sd , and 2 32 gb thumb drive )

Update. Just found this video. Quad Cord Android 4.4.4 GPS for Mitsubishi Lancer review - YouTube

if you DONT have the RFS, and have stock sound system, its literally 2 plugs. from the existing harness to the radio. and your old antenna wire to the new radio. Mine was harness to radio, a usb plug, and a gps antenna plug. it works great, however, the FM radio antenna is absolutely horrendous, to the point that FM is useless. Anyone else have a fix for the crappy reception?

I'll +1 on the crappy radio quality. Unfortunately the radio doesn't have HD radio, so I get a lot of bass and no real clarity throughout the entire band. Kind of sucks and doesn't make me want to ever listen to the radio.

Interesting as my radio works fine for signal, sounds the same as the factory base unit, and even semed to sound better and louder once I adjusted the amp EQ settings.

I have purchased a unit like this: 10.2 Android Radio for Lancer 2008 and up.

Please see pictures.

Beautiful Radio.

Installed it and it powered on, booted into the main screen.

I was able to set steering wheel controls and connect USB to unit. I was able to read from USB and see content and choose files.

Everything worked ok except it played no sound.

Unit came with Canbus for RF System *see picture.

I had to sent unit back today.

The 2014 and 2015 Evos with RF System seem to be different in connections as the
2008 to 2013 models.

On the other EvoX Forum someone else with a 2014 has the same problem I have
with my 2015.

If any of you with a 2014-2015 RF System have been able to get it to play sound
please post the unit you got.

Hope this helps and we can get some good answers as what is needed to make it work on the 2014-2015 models.

I read through this thread & I'm looking to confirm for my 2014 Evo RF equipped vehicle if I need to purchase a separate Mito-03 unit? The seller has RF can bus cable but it doesn't list that it works for 2014+ vehicles.

Can anyone with a 2014+ Lancer & RF confirm functionality with the seller supplied CAN cable?

It looks like steering wheel controls will be included with the harness that comes with the headunit.

Get the MITO-03 from wherever has the best return policy.

I've went through 3 warranty returns before i got one that worked for more than a month.

Yep. And the one I have now still cuts out the audio randomly for 1-2 seconds every 30 minutes or so.

Its just a **** design compared to the MITO-02 (speaker level inputs and no sub control) and metra has no plans to update/revise as far as I'm aware.

I just finished doing a basic install of this system in my FE with base system. It was very easy for the gps, antenna, usb audio source thumb drive. When it came to which input for reverse camera and DVR cam it was not so clear.

Anyone got a quick guide / straight answer and where are you powering and triggering to the reverse cam and auto logging the DVR?

So far the instant install is easy and the unit seams to be working fast and fine. Follow up to be provided. pics tomorrow.

I installed the gps module under the dash deck, behind the unit. Worked fine so far. Any comments?

Almost complete
