Focus RS
I had an evo then an st now back to an evo. I really like the interior of the St but it was hard to be happy in it cause at the end of the day if someone asked me what I drove my answer was a focus. Not something I was proud of. I like saying I own an evo. I personally feel that the rs is not as bad *** looking as a evo.
Thats the old days, bunch of English enthusiasts get together and make fords better, all long gone and forgotten, theres no rally or race influence in their cars now, it's all cleaver marketing, color, shapes, sounds, perceptions, the world revolves around the Internet now, not the race track, the reason why this thread is so popular is that we all live in hope that one day there will be a modern replacement to our aging Evo's but it ain't going to happen, different priorities these days in car manufacture, it's all about trending and us old dinosaurs ain't part of that

haha
well the US models would tend to under steer, it was originally corrected by getting a thicker rear sway bar, then people discovered Mitsubishi was doing funny things with the shims in the rear diff to reduce warranty claims. Once the rear diff was shimmed properly people had no problem getting the rear to kick out.

I think people might also be underestimating the aftermarket that ford has. Its a completely different animal compared to what is out there for imports. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if some guys figured out how to get a ford 9 inch in the rear of these things lol.

Ford stayed in WRC rally even after Mitsubishi left. Ford is just as much, if not more, of a "racing" company as Mitsubishi.
You sound like a cranky old man who doesn't know what he's talking about and doesn't want to learn.

say what? They make all kinds of different setups for the 9". I was kind of joking about actually using a 9" but considering people have dropped Cobra 5.4L DOHC engines into previous focus models nothing would surprise me.
😆
I understand that but there is only one way to get power to the rear unit via the bevel gear in the stock setup. So it's awd with a "locked" center, fine in gravel/slippery conditions, or fwd. Normal street driving would be a tough proposition.
