for me that would be the ultimate track car. I think the GT3RS is underpowered for what it is.
The other hand i think the best track ready car, besides the ACR.
The new Vettes are insanly fast though.
There's the GT2... Which traditionally has always basically been the GT3RS with turbos

As far as it being underpowered... Haha, no.

Not only is it not underpowered, it puts it down better than a AWD car too

I saw a GT3RS at the track today, by the time I got around to talking to the guy he was packing up for the day, so didn't get a chance to get a ride or anything, just looked at it and sat in it. Btw, 21" wheels look enormous up close... I can't believe they put a 21" wheel on a car like that

i drove GT3RS and the 911 Turbo. the Turbo power is just brutal. The GT3RS is just a piece if art in handling etc. But as i said my opinion they should have a Turbo option for it.

That would be something on the track... lol

I didnt drove the new Turbo yet, but as i heard that is beyond your beliefs, fast as nothing you ever drove before

Now mashed that together rest of the GT3RS characteristics.
Also new turbo engine is not much heavier. Great things about Porsche also they keeping the MT in line.

I thought the same thing of the wheels when I saw one. Looks odd, IMO.

I'd like to see a picture of the contact patch on that.

I only assume that they increased the overall diameter somewhat.

bigger diameter with a same width gives you bigger contact patch.

the patch gets longer with a diameter increase, the patch gets wider with the tire width increase.

I imagine Porsche was also motivated in part by a much stiffer sidewall.

yeay to small side wall can creat a really square patch, which is more likely will hydroplane and loosing grip vs the more oval patch.

everything has a plus and minus

I had to see a representation too as I was struggling with it as well.

A larger diameter tire is better in almost all respects. It'll even work better for camber-challenged suspensions since it keeps more of the contact patch (assuming sane size for this comparison, although a bit silly because of packaging differences) vs a smaller diameter, wider tire as the car rolls.

but also bigger diameter can change the performance of the car overall. After certain size its starts hurting the performance.

Hey Rob, in that video when you did that handbrake turn, I assume are you in off-off on the ASC?
