Installed my AMS Widemouth Downpipe and AMS Highflow Cat. Had my AMS Titanium Catback Exhaust for 2 months now, and finally had the time to do the downpipe and hfc. Managed it without breaking any bolts!

Discovered yesterday my OEM wastegate is done. Was leaking air during a boost leak test like crazy! Waiting for a new one to arrive. 💸💸💸

Drove to work, installed a DW 65c fuel pump, and then took some photos.

Mounted my front license plate due to being pulled over too often because of it...

It's crooked so I'm going to have to fix it.

Got the transmission and engine mated

Got it in the car!

Couldn't get the front and rear engine mounts didn't line up, still don't. I have no idea why they don't meet the mount holes like they should so I was trying to bring the back of the engine up but that still didn't get it close enough.
Anyone had this issue?

When i changed my front mount, and again when i pulled/installed the engine, the front mount didn't line up exactly as the engine just sits there. I had to help it with a long screwdriver to get it lined up to the point where the bolt would slide through. Also you want to get all the bolts into the mounts before tightening any of them up (the long bolts not the ones holding the mounts to the engine) so that you don't preload them.

Yeah that's what I was trying to do with the lift there in the last picture.
It's like the engine is twisted toward the back of the car, but lifting the back of the engine didn't seem to really get it anywhere near where it should have been.

The rear mount would still need to come forward about an inch and the front mount too. What's confusing is the front and rear look off about the same amount. I'm wondering if there was a difference in the passenger side bracket between Evo 8 and Evo 4. The car had a 4 engine knocking it before this and I think I used the spare mount bracket because I thought it was off the 8. Maybe it was off the 4?
I held them next to each other before I bolted it on and they looked the same though.

Then again I'm using the exact same driver side bracket that was on the car previously so it would be off on one side and not the other I would think.

Simply what did you do on your evo today? (preventive maintenance, tune-ups, mods, bodywork, etc etc etc... ANYTHING related to your evo)

All i did concerning my car today was order more parts for when it comes back from the dealer
put gas in it and drove it!😉

That is my biggest fear. Did you buy the car from a dealer or private seller?

A dealer that sells performance cars. 29k on the odo. They had some maintenance done by a reputable shop and the shop did some **** work. Long story short, this has turned into a big ****ing headache. I'll have a small build thread soon.

That's really unfortunate. I'm assuming the dealer and shop aren't doing anything to help?
