Popped the head off the motor. Look what 33 pounds of boost does to water when the head gasket gives up.

Going to have the new gouges welded up and then machine it back down. Amazingly both the head and block check out with a straight edge. New motor is ready to go in so this motor is going to get a full rebuild.

Boost doesn't do that, combustion does...lol. The same thing happens on NA motors.

installed Binary Seat Brackets and I added washers between nut and brackets with blue Loctite which is not pictured.

While seats where out I decided to shampoo interior.

Put a much needed battery in my daily driver.
When I picked the car up about five years ago it had an interstate blem' battery that looked ancient (and they usually only last 6-12 months to begin with). Can't believe it still was working fine (though CCA down to 380) when I pulled it today. I felt bad, but it started leaking acid/venting far too much to keep it in there any longer. Had to be a blem' record, though.

Polished up the single stage areas of my paint, vacuumed a ton of dog hair out of the car.
Did a trial run with a generic back up cam to the FUSE radio with success... except the cam isn't mirrored so no install today.
Realized i need to reupholster the seats, ordered some recaro print and fake alcantara, need to decide if I should try it myself or just sublet it.
Cleaned the steering wheel finally so it's fairly soft again. Re-perforated the top section so it doesn't look all smooth anymore.

Replaced my front corner light (actually both, since I switched them to LEDs). Nothing sadder than burnt-out light bulbs - it just makes me feel like I'm a lazy, apathetic car owner.

Two weeks ago, I noticed my coolant was overfilling. Realized that it only happened when the car was going into boost. Did a boost leak test, all checked out. Changed rad cap, still the same. To avoid more problems, I removed the head, and noticed the HG was slightly damaged on Cyl 4. So boost was pushing coolant. Caught it early enough and no damage done.

Removed the head.

new HG !!!!!!

This car is beautiful.

But if you don't paint those calipers right now, I'm going to do it when you're sleeping.
