Again, going from the TME turbo to the FPWR shaved off 1.2sec off of my best time at MSR.

How much more proof do you need to see the evidence of the benefit of this turbo...

BTW, someone should put a track day together at MSR, could be way cool to have a bunch of EVOs around the track...
We are happy for you roundpro , but not all of us track our cars, some need more midrange and some need more top end, It just makes since to know more about what this turbo is doing over stock for the rest of us to drop 1500+ for this setup. one could ask why you went with this turbo over the gt35R or other. was it someones opinion or did you have hard data. most of us would like hard data. obviously some will jump on this just from someones opinion. I am not sure why others on the forum try and bash anyone questioning this product. the WR comes to the table with very little hard data and should expect the usual skeptic buyer. if you guys want to help FP and sell this then try and keep the info unbiased and backed with evidence. i agree, if your able to shave 1.2 secs off your time then the turbo has improved over your previous setup.

atlvalet : most of us dont have an opinion on the WR yet. so dont be so defensive when other question you. i have not said one negative comment on the WR . I have only ask those who have had some first hand knowledge of this product to give us more information and all you keep saying is dont question its a great turbo. believe me this will not sell the WR .

If shaving 1.2 seconds of a lap isnt hard data that the turboo works I dont know what is. You guys need to stop depending on dyno sheets and peak numbers. FP bult an all around performer that so far has been proven on at least a couple cars in roadracing venues. If you want a drag monster or dyno show off vehicle this isnt the turbo for you. This turbo has proven itself by allowing Kent Jordan and the Mueller team 6 or 7 straight wins in his SCCA class. If you want instant cheap horsepower go buy throttle in a bottle.

Well, I've posted dyno sheets showing my improvement with the WR turbo. Wednesday night I went to SAR and ran the car and had a best time of 12.6 which was 0.45 seconds better than the last time I was out there without the upgrade....... there's some more data for you....... Don't know how you'll take it, and really don't care either.......but I figured I'd throw it out there so someone could figure out a way to discount it......

Peace,

Tony

Talking

In my opinion, the gt35R is a great turbo but, not for me! With the WR and my 2.3l I have full boost at 2,300rpm! Torque is what amkes your car move! Ant trust me, with this set up my car can move.

As I said in a previous post, peak HP means nothing to me.

I want a car with bottom end torque and a flat power band I have have it with my set up.

IMO, my car is the PERFECT commute EVO and fierced racer at the track (with different tires and camber set up).

I challenge anyone with a GT35r for a road racing competition (TWS or MSR, sorry I won't travel too far from home) or/and I welcoome anyone to come for a ride around the track if someone puts together an EVO day at a Texas track. I promess a ride you won't forget!

Umm, I put up a link to my dyno run vs. another car. Shiv seemed to think that had enough information (and he was no fan of the WR at the dyno day) yet for you it isn't enough. So I guess the question is this: What the heck would you call hard data? Please explain, because frankly I don't understand what you're looking for.

Conditions:

10pm
92% Humidity
90 Degrees

I ran a 12.6 at 107 MPH at 20PSI. Tony's trap speed was 110 MPH on his 12.6. We were seeing around a 3-5MPH difference between the stock turbo and the WR. When things cool down out here we are going to do another track night. Tony's car is going to be in the 11's easy. I am hoping for a low 12 myself. I still have a little timing and boost to add next time I go out.

The humidity is bad but I have run multiple 112s and a 113.2 there on a basic cammed car in late August.

I agree, I was expecting 110-115 MPH out of my car. The track conditions were also effected by the heavy rain right before they opened. I was getting a great deal of wheel spin out of the hole. Well see what happens the next time we hit the track. I have taking a ride in Tony's car and it is extemely fast.

Just got back from MZM and the dyno day. Will post up my sheet later on once I've had some time to scan, size and edit out my info.

Dynoed at 1:30pm when it was about 92 degrees:

RUN #1

Max Power 307.9 @ 6250 rpm
Max Torque 298.2 @ 4000 rpm

RUN #2

Max Power 308.8 @ 6250 rpm
Max Torque 305.2 @ 4250 rpm

For those of you that are familiar with MZM's Mustang dyno, you know how low it reads. I have not received the upgraded actuator from Forced Performance yet, so hopefully these numbers will be even better after it is replaced.

Have a nice day,

Tony

K, judging by the name of this thread and the name ONLY...it really doesn't sound car related... Whose white rabbit is getting pounded?

Can you give us non-locals a sense of how the dyno reads? Any comparative numbers from other evos there?

Today while I was there I spoke to avngrguild who has a 2005 MR. All he has is the PowerFC and an exhaust and I believe he put down 260 HP, don't know his torque though.

They have documented that most 03-04's stock put down between 170-180HP and a stock 2005 MR put down right around 200 HP.

There was a difference of 53 HP from when I dynoed at FIS and then down at MZM with exactly the same mods. So, even if I added those 53 back to the numbers that I made today (not very scientific, I know...... but I think it's reasonable.....) that would put me at about 362 HP on the FIS dyno or thereabouts. I can tell you that the car pulls pretty hard. Much harder than before and everyone that's been in it says the same thing. Again, I understand that this is not the HARD data that everyone is probably looking for, but it's all I've got.

I'm VERY pleased with the outcome of my car. It's never going to be a drag car, like what you could expect from a GT35R, but my power comes on right away, hangs around until redline and the car drives as good as stock.

I'm sure as time goes by there will be PLENTY of different flavors of turbos to choose from so if this one doesn't fit anyone's style, just wait.......... I'm sure one will come along........

LOL, Vishnu came up with the same conclusions... Looks like the Albino Bunny myth is busted.
