I agree that everybody should just post a roman numeral and model if necessary in all their posts. That way when searching just tack on the "viii" or "ix" with your search and you'll have your answer...problem solved. I think the advocates for the forum are people who just don't realize that the differences between the two engine-wise is truely a short list. Make an FAQ and post it smack dab on the main page so everybody sees it and call it a day. I think it's every evo owner's civic duty to at least know the basics of their car.

 

wel make it a vote, and then a decision...and to this day i still don't get why people after they think they said something smart. first of all, you're gay for winking at another man. second, make it a vote and then a decision. why have a debate at all if you're not going to do it? this forum site is made by, and keeps on going because of it's members. if enough of it's members want something, then there shouldn't be any hesitation to do it. especially if it's something like this that has NO NEGATIVES.

Isn't the VII, VIII, and IX chassis designation still CT9A? Some may be jealous of the IX, mainly those who have to one up the Jone's every year in a manner of speaking. I personally wouldn't take one if offered, the car has strayed too far from it's roots of rally and has gone the way Mitsu said it would for the U.S. in the first place so there is no surprise. IX owners don't flame me for just stating what was told to the U.S. by Mitsu from day one. I think a MIVEC subcategory under the Evo/Turbo/Drivetrain section would be warranted.
