Man this is ridiculous, people should stop being such little b*tches. If you dont like someone, ignore them, its that simple. Stop whining like little girls. Quite frankly, Im glad we have him on here to put people in their place and he also points people in the RIGHT direction.

i just want to race WarrTalon, i dont take what he says to seriously.

wish he or i was in the same place at the same time, that way i could beat him with his evo, or i would let him drive mine, and watch him run a slower time

or even better have both evo's and just heads up race! his reaction times seem slow, id win =)

wait... is this what he does to new members? oops!

people dont come to forums to get "put in there PLACE" , i think most come to learn or share.

being "put in there place" doesnt point people in the right direction.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think he misleads or that his information is incorrect, and he is available and willing to help in an "I like to hear my own voice so I'll share this basic knowledge with you" sort of way. But really, at the end of the day, he contributes absolutely nothing new information-wise, and is rude to boot, which in my opinion makes his contribution a net loss for the community.

To newbies, he's kind of like a search button that gives you matching threads and the feeling that you're an idiot. It is cute that EvoM has its own Morton Downey, Jr. But he is basically as much of a "resource" here as, I don't know, a 6th grade hall monitor. If he were gone, searching and other people would take his place, and the community would be better off.

Regarding the pushing goods when he's not a paying vendor - hmm ... it's a fine line - not. He advertises his sponsors' products (does work for them) and in return gets free parts (is paid by them). Semantics aside, how is that different from being the employee/agent of (and representing) a vendor? Really I don't care except in as much as he should be held to the same behavior standards as the vendors he represents. His **** wouldn't fly if he were Warrtalon@Buschur.

For his loyal fans, let's talk about the rudeness. Ah yes, the rudeness. The problem with rudeness ... is ultimately not about the being insulted or having our "feewings hurt" or not having thick enough skin. What you people don't realize is that for every person that posts something here on EvoM, there are 100 who don't have the time or inclination to do so, but they are nonetheless reading threads and they do see that Warrtalon makes this a ****tier community to visit and learn from. Why? Because, outside of the military, most people with any self-respect don't appreciate or permit being talked down to. Some people get a kick out of the rudeness because this is th3 int3rw3b. For some of us who have been here longer, we are pretty pissed off that people like Warrtalon are changing the nature of these forums for the worse.

Warrtalon's posts do not promote education, discussion or technical debate, they promote Warrtalon at the expense of new members, precisely the group that needs to be welcomed and helped.

Or do they? Ultimately it is a philosophical question for the staff - EvoM has always felt like an open door community. The Warrtalon cult would have it be more of a clubhouse. Where do you see it going?

In all honesty i've seen warrtalon be a bit rough with people , but the dude knows alot when it comes to our cars , and has been very helpfull to me and others in out community. I would say that he just has to be a bit " nicer " to people, but all in all i see him as an asset to out community. just my .02

Well....after rereading the original thread, I have to say it doesnt seem as bad as I remember. You and I may have just gotten into it a few days before and it left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I think we went through this in more than one thread thats why.....but in any event

Well this has been really fun, when all is said and done, I think that Warr is a little like a guy standing at a pin ball machine (for those of you who might remember them), he shoots those little steeley ***** into the board, and they get shot around by the bumpers, lighting people up and ringing bells as they go :-D

Anybody know where I can buy a really loud blow off valve?????

Being put in place and streering someone in the right direction is 2 different things and Ive seen him do both.

I think my responses were very civil and made a lot of sense. There was no bashing, namecalling, or anything close to what you claimed previously. This is part of the problem and is why I said Evo Kid was exaggerating and blowing things out of proportion. I don't deny the things I do and the way I behave, but when people add their own personal dislike to their description of me, it turns a molehill into a mountain.

Well said. He doesn't have any mechanical knowledge or know how, he just tells people to follow the most effective basic upgrade path....not that big of a help if you can read and use the search button.

As of late his sponsorship bias is getting a bit ridiculous as is his superiority complex - not everyone cares about 5 tenths of a second so much as to go through clutches and synchros like he does. Just because people don't want to pound the hell out of the car like him doesn't mean they aren't as knowledgeable.

While I think he does try to be helpful the sponsorships and his success at the dragstrip have stroked his ego a bit too much.
