Noobs and the quest for 50 posts
I've been registered on Evom for quite some time..Since i first wanted an evo (just got a GG IX!!!), but...As a lot of the other guys with old join dates, and few posts...I'm willing to bet that quite a few of us are forum veterans who know how to use the search button and to PM when you have a question that is semi-off topic.
And LancerOzClint....I would have just straight up banned your *** for that. You do realize that mods do visit this thread right?

If you went to a friend's house and they had a rule of "take off your shoes at the door." Would you decide to knowingly disrespect your friend and walk around his house with your shoes on? I doubt you would. Same thinking applies to the forum's rules
How does a post count stop scammers? If I were a thief, I would simply plug away until I got my count. I think the rule CAUSES a bunch of crappy BS posts in the rest of the forum, and screws up legitimate people. Then you have the troll moderators that like to power trip flagging these things, because the bureaucratic rule created the posts. I don't post on the forum because I read what everyone else does and I search. However, 2.5 years ago, I crashed my Evo and wanted to part it out. So I had to go through the painful process of 50 posts. I even got flagged once.
Was I a scammer? Hell no.

I don't understand it either. I've been a member here for a long time and I just now have 50 posts. You learn alot by reading and not putting in pointless answers just to get more posts. If you don't know the answer to a question then let someone who does post instead of cluttering up the pages with nonsense. Just my .02 cents
So is there anyway to get around this 50 post rule. Ive been a member for years and have always searched for my questions and never really posted.
Now i have sold my evo and have some parts left over and cant post here.
Anyway to fix that, or am i just going to have to post ***** it up for a little bit so i can sell these parts.

There is no way around it, and we do not make exceptions as we like to hold all members accountable to the same set of rules.
As for post whoring, well I would not advise that.

Everybody should remember that our marketplace is a reserved for active and contributing members, it is not a 'right' of membership. If you REALLY need the parts gone, may I suggest craigslist or eBay?

I don't think the 50 post count is fair really... Check my join date. Now if you check the few posts I have, most of them are actually helpful if anything, and are informative in some nature. I've been a focus owner for years, but have been in love with the evo since 2005 so I came on these forums getting as much info as I can so when It comes time for me to upgrade to this amazing car(which is now) I won't be in the dark on problematic systems/components, or buying the wrong wheel/tire sizes and such. I only post when I can add something to the thread, and not being an Evo owner yet, that's slightly hard to do.
Plus I've been deployed 5 times, this is the first deployment I've actually had access to a forum, lol.
