50 posts to sell stuff? what's the difficulty making 50 posts and why are you complaining about it? I'm lost

If you know so much why don't you spend 30 min, respond to some questions and help some people out.

imo I think it's good to familiarize with people on here and build trust before purchasing or selling

I don't mind the 50 to sell...it's the 50 to even reply that makes it hard. But I'm working on it

Noobs and the quest for 50 posts

I am nuts or have we just recently been INVADED by members posting IRRELEVANT posts just to reach 50 posts and get into the FS section?

While it may not concern me too much, it kinda worries me that some of these posters may be looking to scam in the FS section.

I have seen this time and time again on other forums.....

Sorry, thread is more of a damn rant than anything.

We've noticed it...and have caught many of them...but it's nearly impossible for us to catch all of them without the help of the members.

If you see someone you think is doing this, please report the post. Click the little red/white triangle (look to the left, below your screen name and you online/offline status). You can report the post and all of the moderators can see it and determine what should be done.

Thanks!

suggestion: raise the post level from 50 to a 100 and inorder for an indivisual to post in the fs then he/she would need a recommendation from another evom member with atleast xxx amount of posts.

I like the 100 post count idea. It will be VERY obvious if they are trying to reach that.

I have no idea why some one who wants to be a member of this forum, would rush to get into the FS, unless they were up to no good.

I almost had to fly out of state by getting scammed from someone on Honda-Tech, luckily it was resolved and I got my money.

I don't want to travel down that road again.

I believe this has been discussed before. I'll let one of the other moderators talk to this since they've been doing it longer than me.

On the point about needing a member recommendation, that might be going a little bit too far.

I don't understand it either. I've been a member here for a long time and I just now have 50 posts. You learn alot by reading and not putting in pointless answers just to get more posts. If you don't know the answer to a question then let someone who does post instead of cluttering up the pages with nonsense. Just my .02 cents

Another forum I'm on, the only posts that count are the ones you post in the technical sections. It cut down on the post whoring a lot. Just my .02

I personally dont like the idea of 100 posts!!! Ive been on here since april and would like to sell stuff but cant. Ive bought stuff but also dont want to clutter up the site with nonsense.I think there should be some way of getting through this easier like maybe just 25 posts and being a member for at least 6 months or more.

^^^ i believe this would cut down on post ******. and i also like the recommendation idea also

What is the big hurry to sell things?

While I have had some non sense posts, what ever lil knowledge is left in my head I try and share with people.

I am not the only one to notice these non sense posts, other members have actually been calling the posters out in the thread. I am just noticing a lot more of it now.

Being able to sell on here should be considered a privilege, and that is earned, not given away.
