It sucks getting to 50 posts.. I had been a registered member since last summer of '06 and still had 0 posts when i bought my evo 2 months ago. I got on here just to read... Now that I have acheived my 50 posts, I do 75% of my posting in the for sale section.

just go into the show and shine section and give some people some compliments on their car. Those rims look great, love the new front lip ect.

Personally, i thinking you should have atleast be an evolving member before you can sell stuff.. I never feel comfortable buying from Newbies...

If you don't know about your car, you should be asking questions....or breaking something and asking how to fix it.

If you do know about your car, you should be helping others rather than keeping all that knowledge to yourself.

when it comes to things that are over $200 bucks i will not buy at all on forums. LOCAL ONLY SALES for high price toyz for me i will not take that risk. I know i have seen way to many people get taken on NASIOC.

I think their should be a BUDDY SYSTEM. eventually everyone meets a few people from these forums at car enthusiast events and have it so that everyone has meet FACE to FACE 3 other members from that same forum for references.

I believe that if everyone knew atleast 3 people"Locally" from this forum, the corruption of stealing from fellow members would be almost non existant.

Forums are like this for the users protection. Many are this way. What makes you feel so deserving that you can sell your stuff on a site you don't contribute to anyway? Or is this just an "all important me" rant?

I personally feel 50 posts kind of blows for someone like me that is searching the forsale threads for an EVO to purchase. But honestly its not that difficult to PM the seller. I don't have squat to sell for an EVO, soooo 50 posts is reasonable to keep the jokers out. Even though you still get the scammers.

I agree mostly. If somebody has a better way to combine keeping scammers out and letting honest sellers do business, I'd like to hear it. I personally think we are doing the best we can to balance those concerns.

Ahh, if that were possible, the internet would be a much nicer place. The 50 posts seems to be more than fair. It is not like a blood sample is being asked for. Even though now-a-days you just about need a blood sample to feel safe. With the i-trader system in place, theres really nothing more that can be done. This site isn't any different then any other site, buyer beware.

People should feel privileged to be able to post here for free, and get over the 50 post minimum.

posting isn't about asking questions because you're lacking knowledge. posting is simply sharing information - whether it's sharing a question or an answer. if you really know all that much about evos, cars, turbos, bodywork, etc, share the information with others.

*edit*
also, even if you start a thread, you should get extra posts for follow up questions or comments within your own thread.
