Just to back up my claim that MP5 is helpful....here are quotes from how he helped me out in the Turbo XS Utec forum...and yes these are quotes!!!

"Dont flatter yourself Nathan. Like Ive said before the UTEC will be every bit of serious of tooning tool as the Xede. If those knock attenuations are done right just as safe too. At this point we are looking at the extra features involved and the Xede and Utec both will controll waterspray/ N2) have WB and Datalogging/ Muti maps (Utec will have a few more) /Launch control and flatshift/ the UTEC will have a nifty gameboy interface and a graphing funtion.

The most pertainant question is what is TXS going to do to address the boost cut in the midrange and rev limits? Are they going to have a propietary flash to go along with the UTEC or are they going to trim a good amount of TQ/HP tuning around the cuts?"

and then.....

"Good summary I cant wait for a more indepth. About the timing control The Xedes is static also But an offset of the factory curve witch to me simplifies things significantly. I dont see an advantage of not having an offset as it can lead to way off base timing in certain zones.

Nathan You know what Im talking about with knock attenuation. Users should be given a fairly accurate knock adjustment/ attenuation/whatever you want to lable it as so it would be very hard to for a car to be driving around actually knocking when the user is unknowledgeable about knock control and expecting to be safe with the UTEC. Knock control is professional tuner stuff and not for street tuners (myself included). I had a major headach trying to dial my wrx one in and 50K later #4 was gone (I am not blaming it on the UTEC I take full responsibility in my ignorance at the time but unfortunately it was a hard subject to grasp and coincidentally there were a ton of scrap EJ20s)

Nathan Tooning was a joke it was put there on purpose- As in user "toonable" "

Here is a link if you want his words taken into complete context...that way you can see what was being asked and why he answered how he did...

MP5 Helped me out when others were either Vague or just didn't know. All I can say is THANK YOU MP5 (if you can read this! LOL) Add to that....this was all in the forum OTHER then Vishnu...now how can you say he is at all biased??? He helped me out on a product he does not own and is sold by another company other then Vishnu....I don't see this as putting things down by other companies. Of course like I have stated before...I don't know the WHOLE story.

Maybe he gets a bit carried away at times, but he is entertaining! I personally would like to see MP5 back on the forum. He has offer a lot of good insite even if he is a bit brash at times. I for one am looking forward to meeting him this weekend at the Vishnu dyno day here in Dallas. I do hope that all of this can be worked out.

Baseless accusation.

Remember, Al was brought back because having him here as an official place to get your Dynoflash questions answered was of greater good to the Evom community. His money had nothing to do with it and was only secondary when he decided he still wanted to be an site Vendor here.

So unless MP5 becomes an employee of Vishnu, or Mark thinks that it is of greater good to the community to have MP5 around, I doubt he will be posting here freely again. And if he does get to post here again, I doubt he will be allowed to post outside of the Vishnu forum.

Please keep in perspective the fact that 'being a good guy' has nothing to do with this. It has everything to do with how a person behaves on this forum as a whole. 1 good tech post for every 5-10 OT/flaming/inappropriate posts does not make for a good forum member, even if he is a good guy in person.

I totally agree with what you say....I was just stating that he seemed like a good guy.....might be a bit cocky but he's still a good guy especially when it comes to tech knowledge.

Personally I dont' like MP5 much.... but I voted to NOT ban him. The less outspoken members we have the more boring this site becomes and the more likely I am to stop comming. Banning Al was a mistake, and banning MP5 would also be a mistake.

I Type 70 words per min. What your excuse?

And dude if your from a engish speaking country it does not count.

Well because of work I'm in and out with these threads. I got a nice little email when someone posts somthing and get the link and go right to it.

Sorry everyone for my poor spelling and lack of proof reading.

Now can we get off this topic. Seth made it out like I'm fresh of the boat.

no we don't neet mods on this board it took exactly 10 mins for us to go from "should MP5 be banned" to "when did Eric got off the boat"

please keep this on topic guys. so far it has been a very civil and mature thread so lets try and keep it that way.

I understand and respect Mod's reasoning. However, I personally do not support outright bans and hope common sense on both sides will prevail and another solution will be brought forth.

I am also intrigued by the idea of the "unmoderated" free-for-all forum. I cannot envision how it can work and still remain "in good taste".
