question for ya.... how are you guys getting back so much money ? Am i missing something ? I'll be lucky to get back 2500 and i own a house.

4. Buy a new house

The only things I can think of. Last year I got 10k+ but most of that was my bonus being taxed as I didn't do it overseas.

 

yeah, im guessing that is the trick... def not having another kid and dont think its time to get married yet lol. I am however thinking about claiming Danyel this year on my taxes and seeing what that does.

Im married, so filing joint tax return, with a kid, and I got $8000 for being a first time home buyer.

 

dang i didnt even think about the house credit, i have bought one yet, i do however have three kids, filing jointly, earned income credit, wish i had the 8000 from a new home, i would be ballin!! lol
