yeah i figured that. i have a buddy who was offering to sell me his lightly used set of 880's but i wasnt to sure if they would hold up well. thats crazy too because you usually hear of people running 880's with a 35r boy this turbo is insane.

Can you post mods too if you have time? Would be interesting to see what the car @ 390 has done versus the cars with headwork making nearly 450whp and in between. Just to get an idea of what supporting mods work well with this turbo. Thanks!

big difference is how it was tuned,

the car that made 390 has a cat and over the weekend just did two track days on 93 octane in 95 degree heat so its tuned less aggressively. It's also a bit tired, 55K miles on stock bottom end of hard track work always on 93

the other car is catless, has our tubular manifold, etc

ill post thorough mod lists.

Good to know. I am excited to see what mine will do. Handles 24psi with no knock on stock turbo and still on stock clutch at 51k miles so you know it has been babied. At least as far as launching it. The suspenion is tired as hell though....lol.

With the mods in my signiture and the addition of the BBK-B Turbo what fuel injectors should I go with? 93 octane & maybe higher octane tune - no E85.

I'm thinking:

PTE Precision 1200cc = approx. $300 new (less $ used)
FIC Blue Max 1250cc = approx. $400 new

Are the Blue Max injectors woth the extra money? Are there better choices?

Thanks,

Dan (drb)

i would say the PTE's but i hear FICs are good as well. depending on the tuner they may prefer one over the other.

Im curious if YOU (CBRD) have figured out if it was an issue with the fuel pump or if the 450whp car really needed larger injectors ,,, 1000cc injectors already seem huge for 93 octane .
I was planning on running 850s and i do a great deal of roadrace so i wouldnt be running over 25 psi for the most part, except for the rare weekend evening when i want to use some 110 and maybe 30 psi if the motor stays happy.
Your thoughts please.
