Quote: well, I hope to beat you all. J/k. But seriously, my car put down 293 whp on cali 91 oct. and 326 whp on c16 up at pdx tuning in oregon. That was before I put on my perrin front mount and I have the greddy/denso 720 cc injectors waiting to go on too. I am also putting the ARP head studs in too so I can make more boost. If I am down your way, I'll schedule a dyno run Shiv. The guys at PDX, Tim, Jared, Jeff Perrin, and Sponagul all think my car is capable of really high #'s. I also am runnning the FP TME turbo as well.
That is kind of funny. The PDX boys didn't even want to touch my EVO.

253 stock, DynoDynamics puts them at closer to 190 - 200 stock I think. Shiv/Andrew is that right?

That would offer some level of comparison.

Land and Sea dyno? WTF. Those are the most over inflated dyno numbers I have ever seen in my life. No way, no how, not on any other dyno, including a Dynojet.

Maybe these were uncorrected and in cooooooold weather?

Also, 25psi settling to 20 at redline seems pretty steep for a stock turbo on pump...

This coming from a company that doesnt even own a AWD Dyno.. anyways.. Its not our dyno, it was our customers in Maine. We sold him all the parts and thats his posting. They run a dyno shop there. This WAS NOT dynoed on our AWD shop dyno. I was just posting numbers b/c there are no MR dyno numbers here yet. I will be dynoing my MR all this month b/c it will be featured in modified mag for bolt on testings. Also i gave the stock numbers for comparision. So consider that when looking at all the numbers..

Thanks

No way.. you would be stupid run 11.6 A/F at Peak HP when running 104.. you would would want more like 12.6 and on like 116 octane 13.6 ...

Also.. for numbers here for those of whom have not had an MR in there hands... (which also all 05s have the 10.5 turbine, not the 9) Pruven has a stock MR Dynoed at 253 AWHP and 276 TQ even listed on this site under another thread---bone stock..

Look I think you will agree most tuners want to try and understand how you supplied parts and tuned a car to +162 AWHP when values are well know and repeated 100s of times over in terms of engine VE, Turbo efficiency and flow characteristics of the fuel system. So while we can disagree about philosophy or the proper way things should be done (as we do often), The question Mr Buschur has is essentially "If you going to dispute the ground level common knowledge then can you offer an explaination?"

Got to wonder about the quality of a dyno, when the manuf. has something like this on their site!

But i was just giving the posted results from a customer.. We DID NOT tune the car.. And also when another reputable shop (Pruven) has Dynoed almost identically stock, why is there an explanation needed?

Well, claiming that 13 to 1 AFR's on pump is ok and that 11 to 1 on 100 octane is bad for one...

Here's an AFR chart on an evo tuned not long ago on 100 octane.. (not the one that went off the chart rich)

Shiv,

Did the addition of the 10.5 hotside affect spool up? I am not great at reading dyno graphs and can't tell the difference. Looks to me to be about the same.
