GT3071 dyno results

That's why this set up got 356 whp on pump on 91 WITH A CAT. in comparison, the stage 2 with the 3071 and a cat on 91 octane would make around 300 whp at a later RPM and drop dramatically at the redline.
Essentially, that is what this collar tested for. It was either the turbo or the manifold and it turned out to be the stage 2 turbo set-up that was introduced last summer, not the manifold.
For the money, the stage 2 is still a phenomenal set-up and will still lay the wood to most supercars.
BTW, the stock manifold looks like it can flow fine to the redline with the 3071. Check out the page one graph. Dunno about the 30R, 35R, but I suspect we will be surprised. We'll all know by the end of the summer. It might be the tubular manifold is overkill.

A little heat wrap on the downpipe should make this kit quieter, cooler (if it is near the A/C), and even more stealth.

Hi guys (from Australia) - I've been paying particular interest to this thread as its been a wealth of information with some great proven results on the GT3071. I just purchased one of these GT3071R-WG turbos from ATP (pic on left) with the internal wastegate instead and running the T25 flange. specs here: http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/me...egory_Code=GRT
I did some searching and discovered these are identical specs to the HKS GT2835R in every way. Same housing sizes, wheels, trims, and A/R, but less than half the cost!

Has anyone bought any of these yet and tried them out with internal WG setup?
PS: Our pump gas here is 92, 96 and premium 98 octane, and I'm looking forward to finally bolting up one of these suckers to my car along with some other mods...
Keep up the good work. Will pop in often to see how thngs are going...

Ok, if I run a 35r with your adapter kit and XEDE/SMART set with methanol on a IX with a 280 cam and no cat, what is the realistic spool rpm?
Is a 35r a little too big for my application, and should I consider the 3071 or something similar?
I am looking for an everyday 500hp car that can clean up at the drag strip and the race track.

What is too much spool time for you to lose. A gt35R on a 2.0 can be expected to make 20-22psi anywhere between 4200-5k.
Scorke
p.s. If your looking for an everyday 500hp, you shoulda gotten a z06

A 35R is too big for the Vishnu adapter kit. The 30R is the biggest GT turbo that will fit.
I wouldn't go so far as to call that "scary".
Now, this IS scary:
