With my setup, the IC sprayer reservoir will last 5-6 1/4 mile passes or so, maybe more.
5-6 1/4 mile passes would be only about a minute or so of WOT time! Does it really run out that fast?

That depends on your injection unit.

Mine delivers about 1000cc/min. I don't know off the top of my head the capacity of the IC sprayer bottle, but it's very simple math to determine how long to depletion.

With my Aquamist system running a 1mm nozzle it will empty out a 1 liter bottle in about 20 seconds.

On the car, it will last about a tank depending on how much boost you are using.

Two observations:

(1) What are you injecting?

(2) That can't be anywhere even close to correct because it equals 3000cc/min.

(1) I was injecting windshield washer fluid. It didn't really gain anything for me so I haven't been using my WI system.

(2) I am using the biggest nozzle available from aquamist. As for draining the bottle, it was roughly 20 seconds. Just went and looked at my bottle it holds 20oz not a liter.

Hey ted,
im getting the same 280s, 780cc injectors, fuel rail, head studs, springs and retainers installed.

you told me that uploading the standard stage 1+ map would be unwise.
what do you think i should do to dial this thing in? I cant really make the 6 hour trip up to vishnu since im in so cal (pasadena)

Still, I'm very surprised you didn't lock the engine, and you're very lucky you didn't. I can't believe it even ran.

60oz/min = ~1800cc/min, which is waaaaaaay out of bounds for a 2.0L engine.

Water injection (or a mix with water) for this engine would be in the 200-300cc/min range.

Injecting meth at 1000cc/min is significant, and requires qually significant dyno tuning to compensate. If I just sprayed the meth in the engine with no tuning, it would be pig rich and run like crap.

Well, for starters, the 780cc injectors alone will cause it to run like *** without having a rescaling reflash of your ECU. Better send your ECU to Vishnu for a reflash when you install them.

Furthermore, 780cc injectors aren't of any benefit unless you're going to be installing a GT35R along with that (or at least a 3037). Ditto for the fuel rail. Are you planning on installing a BIG turbo?

Ask Shiv for a map for a car with the 280s and a similar setup. It won't be exact, but it will be a better temporary option than using a map for something different.

I will have to check my notes at work. I had it all setup on a desk and was running some tests. I keep thinking it was 20 seconds in order to drain that 20 oz bottle.

I had the car custom tuned by Shiv, but he didn't make any more power w/ the WI running. If I would of had methonal, then it would of been a whole different story.

Ok, I found an email I sent out to my brother w/ my results. The pump did drain 20oz in 20 seconds, but that was w/ out the nozzle (duh ). The flow rate I calculated, with the 1mm nozzle, was ~0.350l/min or 350cc/min. With the nozzle, it drained my 1 liter bottle in about 160 sec.

That should clear things up.

Did you move it to the one in the rear? Or are you still using the front one?

I'm using the front one. I have a plastic bottled drilled for the IC sprayer parts and I will install that with a mini-battery to keep the IC sprayer functional.

I don't like switches that do nothing.
