One Lap of America: Post and Discuss Results Here
I got there too late to cheer on shiv and paul. Didn't get there till 4pm and was totally dissapointed. Congrats on the finish though guys. Wish I saw it. However, there was a silver Evo that lost it at the back end. Didn't had the chance to talk to the driver but the whole right side of the car was pretty ding'ed up.
There was also a silver Evo that I parked close to it. I'll post pix later on!

As you may have noticed, Paul and Shiv are in second in their class. Even though they have been spanking the hell out of that nicely setup and nicely driven WRX in every racing event, the wet skidpad is still haunting them. Although they might overtake the WRX in overall points by the end of today in Vegas, they will need to beat it in every single event from here on out to make up the 45 point deficit in the Mid Priced Sedan category: There are nine events left and they will need every win with no slip ups. Of course, if the WRX driven by the Fullers, has a bad day or gets upset by the third or fourth place car, that would take a bit of the pressure off. After all Paul and Shiv's efforts, it would be a big drag to come in second behind a car that they outclassed for 16 out of 17 events...
Yah they're scoring system might be called too fair? It certainly isn't indicating how well the Evo is running. Hopefully when it's all done they will have the class and be in the top 5.
Still I would like more details on the woes at the skid pad... I mean nearly last place?

The scoring system is quite fair. The One Lap is a hyper competitive event. It is mainly a test of the overall capability and endurance of both car and driver. At about half way 15% of the competitors have dropped out.
I heard the silver Evo rolled in turn 8 at sears point. Not going to get many points if you don't keep the rubber to the road.
I Just hope for a safe finish to the event for all those involved.

a national triathlon maybe.. not a world wide olympic level without steroids or commercial/professional sponsorship..
Either way it's good fun and awesoime to see a n Evo ripping up all the Z06s and giving the fat wallets a reason to question spending so much money...

hi guys..its me shiv. real hot in vegas. dropped the boost to be safe. in the first session, we came in fifth. the car is seeing well over 150 on the oval an is getting real loose, hanging the tail out for 400 (not 4000 like I initially wrote!) yards or so.... awesome but not as fast as it could be with more rear downforce. so...we went out to home depot and got some angled aluminum to make a gurney flap for the rear spoiler. Paul and the other race techs at the paddocks seem to think it will be worth some major stability on the oval portion of the track. We'll see in the afternoon event...

Go Evo!
May the race gods smile upon you! Good Luck. Keep up the good work.

When you get done with the 1LoA, could you post a really good blurb on how to become more profecient at driving the EVO?
BTW Shiv do you think you might have some hitch plans ready for your adoring public when you get back? The hitch through the bumper was the exact thing I've been looking for to tote an AutoX and mountain bike trailer.
Cheers!
