Project X - Water/Meth Install!
#108
well it's all in
system tested out well - so now I just have to get some meth AND tune it
the only real problem I had was over-tightening the jets.
I snapped the 0.5mm jet in half, and I snapped howertons lovely 90deg angle thingy as well
so Now I only have a 1.0mm jet installed because I think a .8 and .9 would have been too big..
I might get some more jets in the near future and I will reinstall them.
tapping the LICP was pretty easy, you need to hold the tapbit very very straight/steady whilst it's going in...
so this week I will pick up some meth + more distilled water then I will begin tuning it all

ok so its all working pretty well.
i had some teething problems with air bubbles... (basically after I finished testing with 100% water, I drained and refilled with 50/50 - that introduced some bubbles which was causing havoc with the FCM)
seems to be good now.
ok so how do I know what injection % I should be running? the manual says 15-20% for 50/50, what are peoples experiences?

Awesome tephra!
I think I'm running over 20%, a single 1mm jet was fine but I wanted more, so I upped it to a 1mm + a .9mm further down the intake tract. That's at the high-end of what you'd need to run. On a stock turbo, I think a single 1mm jet is perfect, or maybe 2x .6mm jets if you really want to space them out a bit for a combined octane suppression/air cooling effect.
Enjoying the torque?
